Holiday Inn Phoenix - Chandler by IHG

We stay at this hotel, often. It's always been clean, andd well-maintained, and our stay has always been peaceful/enjoyable. Unfortunately, that was not the experience we had this time. They are doing extensive renovations (which suggests that the hotel will be wonderful, eventually). This stay, however was loud with all the construction. They started hammering between 7 and 7:30 am (very early). Our bathroom was torn up: peeling wallpaper, the ceiling was cut-out and there was insulation hanging down in shower. We did not receive advanced notice that the hotel was under renovation, nor were we offered any kind of break on the price :(

Bad choice to stay. Construction going on very dirty and dust all over doors. There Was crickets in restroom and a big gap from shower faucet to the wall. Would not stay here again. Manager was no help

Good place to stay

I can't believe that rooms were rented with the extent of the renovation taking place . The noise and the debris were not accommodating to any sort of relaxation . In the bathrooms the ceiling was a piece of sheetrock, not properly measured , which spewed debris at any movement .

Remodeling going on should make that known prior to booking very dusty and rooms were somewhat finished. Rooms should be discounted during a remodel

I have stayed here several times before it was fine. But will not be staying here again.

You never told me that I was booking a hotel with 2 of the 4 floor under remodel. They told me you guys never communicate. I have booked a lot from you and this was a terrible experience. Bad enough for me not to use you again when I finish with my current bookings through you. By the way when my tv didn’t work they told me I could check out and find another hotel.

needs a renovation. Room rugs had stains, ceiling had a hole that wasn't finished.

the property is under construction / remodeling, i wish i cuold have known in advance and booked elsewhere. No one whants to spend $154 a night for this.

The property was under construction a lot of noise-this bugs did not from water being shut down. Dust everywhere from chipping up old tile- and I paid full price to stay there.if I had known about the construction I would have found some where else to stay.

location was important otherwise would have cancelled we found ourselves in the middle of major renovation - they were nearing floors down, placing new floors, walls were stripped off, the buffet was not accessible, the hotel continued to function without warning to incoming guests. All days - in the middle of remodeling. Dust everywhere. elevators not working. And no refunds or discounts. there is first for everything - this was our first terrible experience.

They are remodeling, so there is a lot of dust, and the rooms smell musty.

When I called to see what the hotel would do as a result of the noise, limited elevator access etc, the attendant said all they would do is cancel my reservation! Not even one hint of apology! My friend who lives there and recommended the property said he will not let any visitors stay there again. I have complained via the surveys you provided and no response from there either!

Superb

Construction thru out the hotel. Bedroom shower constant drip, air condition rattled all night . Beds were comfy .

The lobby and first floor were in the midst of having a new tile floor installed. As the tile was being cut, there was dust and some noise. The room we had on the third floor was very nice, both clean and quiet.
