My only problem was the air conditioning. It was so cold all night. No matter how high I increased the temp, it wouldn't actually work past 64 degrees. I finally turned on the heat and that helped some.

Very friendly staff, quiet and clean.

The people were very nice The carpet in my room was filthy. The parking area was not well lit. I was approached by a homeless person as I was getting out of my car.

Hotel is older. Parking lot under repair, countertop in bathroom had cigarette burn marks on it, room had musty smell and mattress was hard. Everything else in area was booked so we paid to much for to little.

We usually stay at the Embassy Suites when we travel to Charleston. They have free breakfast and it is good. The rooms are bigger and the price is very similar so for the Holiday Inn to be competitive they are going to have to change some things drastically.
