Close to CAMC General if you have family in hospital. Clean room and comfortable beds. Breakfast was good.

I booked the room and got a call a few hours later that the hotel had been overbooked and the cancelled my reservation

This was a dump. Absolutely horrible smell surrounding the entire property- maybe sewage? The room was small, musty, and hot even though the ac was on high. No temp control in the room- just high/low. The AC was also very loud and rattling sounding. The bed was ok. Thankfully it was just a late night road stop but would avoid it again.

Note that the staff were very friendly. For the price, I might try someplace different next time we visit Charleston.

The hotel has a great location right off of the highway. Perfect for us since we were just passing through. The front desk staff were very nice and helpful. Check in was a breeze. They suggested places to eat & see while we were there for the evening. Our room was located right off of the elevator, however it was very quiet and we slept very well. I would recommend this hotel if you are staying in Charleston.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. When my reservation showed one bed (I needed two) they immediately assisted in getting me into the right room. The room was comfortable with easy access to the outside for my dog's potty breaks. The area was decent enough. It's next to a neighborhood with a school across the street. It's a couple blocks away from an old downtown business area which made it perfect for morning walks. There was a local coffee shop on that street as well. As soon as I checked in, the girl at the front desk provided menus and a list of local eateries. The room was clean and comfortable. We had a great stay and even booked again for the following week on our way back through. Not a priority at all but the tv and remote are slow as molasses. It made regulating the sound difficult. However, there were options to watch Netflix and YouTube as well as cable channels.

Our room was clean and comfortable. We did not use any of the amenities as our stay was only one night.
