We were pleasantly surprised by the hotel in Charlevoix. We only spent one night, but wished we could have stayed longer. Room appeared to have recent upgrades, so it was very well appointed and perfectly clean. The front desk staff was extremely helpful and very friendly. We were traveling with small dogs, and the area outside the hotel was perfect for walking them. Having a guest laundry room was so helpful!

I love staying at Americinn!

The lobby and breakfast areas were under refurbishment. No problem. But, the problem arose the next morning when I noticed there was an uncovered electrical outlet, clearly exposing its chalky dry wall within 4-6 inches of the slot of toaster! Basically, when the toast would be expelled upon toasting, it would shoot up inext to this open construction zone of dry wall dust! YIKES! I can't imagine the State of Michigan Health codes, standards for food service or construction codes would condone this?!

Fragrance free room. Easy check in and check out. Breakfast was good - bagels, eggs and sausage. Staff was available to help.

Nice alternative to Charlevoix congestion when construction is finished

They stay was good

Our first day we came back in the evening and our room was not cleaned including no clean towels. The owner was on the premises the next morning. We requested an adjustment to our bill for the lack of service. He refused and said we should have called it to his attention during working hours the prior day so they could come in and clean. We told him we were out all day. He was neither apologetic nor responsive to our request for a credit.

Staff was not knowledgeable.

My room was clean. They were in the middle of a remodel so the main area was a little messy.

Staff was honest. Hotel was a mess. Remodel? Was in progress. We traveled from states away and hoped to feel at home and relaxed but it was a mess. Bummed the pool was gross with windows being replaced and construction was in process. For the amount of money we booked for this hotel, I was not impressed! The front desk staff attendant was professional and honest — however the room had a leaky toilet and the pool construction was huge bummer. Charlevoix was beautiful though. Probably the worst Americ Inn I have ever stayed at…

Staff very kind. Pool needed attention. Didn’t address pool cloudiness until third of stay. Had to shock pool. Under repair. Understood but dirty door and walkway from the side door. Reasonably priced .

Get a room on the first floor since there is no elevator. The staff permitted us to stay an extra hour without charge. They are rebuilding the outside wall to the indoor pool, but the pool is still nice and in use. The rooms themselves looks to have been redone recently. The breakfast, though basic, was decent. It is a bit out of town.

Good location near downtown Charlevoix; clean and no frills hotel. The main road near the entrance is full of pot holes

So far every Wyndham we have stayed at has sucked. Almost all are in disrepair. You obviously don’t check on what you are posting as good. Guess who the joke is on.

Our first visit to the area for a golf getaway and really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were basically brand new (renovations were occurring to the property but didn’t hinder our visit at all). The hot breakfast was delicious, eggs were delicious and sausages were a solid breakfast choice as well. Coffee was fresh and the people on staff treated us politely during check in and at breakfast. I would recommend this location and would definitely stay here again.

Dinner we purchased was delicious there and the nicest lady waited on us!!!! Staff went out of their way to be helpful!!!!!

Clean room staff was great breakfast was great parking was fine…doing a remodel but was great

It was okay bed was comfortable. They were remodeling so things were a bit hectic. I wish they would let you know before you book it.
