Charlevoix Inn & Suites SureStay Collection by Best Western

The staff was very friendly. The room was exceptionally clean, and the bed was very comfortable. I had a lovely view of Lake Charlevoix out of my window, which made time spent in the room very nice. And I was very close to the elevator and ice machine. I wish there was some sort of a gym facility besides the pool. A small weight room maybe a couple bikes something like that would've been nice especially weights.

Super friendly staff. Easy to get to location. Breakfast was nice with plenty of options. Beds were clean and comfortable.

The kitchen counter had a weird cutout and had a tile over it. The lip of the kitchen counter that is supposed to be attached to the wall had a 1/2 inch gap, perfect for ants and other bugs to take up residence. The flooring in the room was nice, new and clean. There was no carpet in the room, just an area rug. Which to me is perfect, especially since it is a dog-friendly hotel. I also liked having a little outdoor area to sit. We were looking forward to the free breakfast, but was disappointed. We ate it only one morning out of our 4 night stay. I read that they have free fresh baked cookies in the lobby, but there weren't any during our stay. I would stay again, but only if they do some updating.

They had a nice choice for breakfast, more then others , this time the eggs were on the cold side but overall was good

Everything from the room to the pool to the lobby and I appreciate the on-site laundry We waited an extra half hour to be checked in because the lady watching the front desk was asleep in her truck out front. If my husband hadn't knocked on the window to wake her up, we may have never gotten to check in! If my card wasn't already on file to book the room we would have gone somewhere else.

The Charlevoix Inn was a decent place to spend a night. I realize that it is an older property but there are a few upgrades that could make it more inviting. I think a nice upgrade in the entryway, lobby and breakfast area would be great. Fix the ceiling in the pool and hot tub area. The pool could be a bit warmer too. The rooms are small but look to be in good condition overall.

We were part of a rally that booked our stay here I booked our reservation for a king bed for 1 night . I made the reservation on Feb 5,2026The reservation was for 7/30/3036.There were 20 of us there. I texted the hotel that we would arrive after 7 pmdue to delays in our ride & it was a beautiful day to be at Mackinaw & the tunnel of trees even with the detours. On arrival I did not receive the king bed I reserved. I reserved a king for medicsl reasons. On arrival we were given a queen bed. They were overbooked & there were no other options. Aside from the clerk there was no one to discuss this with. & was told no one would be available until the morning. I was given the name of someone to contact who was a “higher up”. I texted her at 5 am & my message was sent bank as undeliverable. I did get the queen sized bed at the lower rate. Other members of our group were treated rudely& left to stay somewhere else .we had 24 people in our group. I only got 2 hours of sleep that night & had an 8 hour ride on our motorcycle in the morning. My hydband & I both have dkeeo apnea& I have pain issues along with other medical issues. We needed our sleep in order to ride safely. We had to leave the next morning & had to cut our trip rearly to attend my brother’s funeral.. We were hot, tired, dehydrated & mentally distressed by the time we tea chef the Charlevoix Inn & Suites Sure Stay.Not getting the rest we needed did not improve the situation. All I wanted was a hit shower- which I got-

Pool open till 11. Close to town but still need a car.

Clean room, quiet, nice breakfast

Stayed for three days, our room was cleaned each day! The place needs some updates but overall it was a pleasant stay. Breakfast was good and free bottles of water was a nice touch.
