Rodeway Inn - Chicago

Awful experience ended up having to go to a different hotel to stay after driving for 5 hours straight because nobody was at the front desk to check is in even after waiting of 30 minutes and they also didn’t pick up the phone after multiple calls. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

The only friendly and helpful front desk staff was Adrian. The other staff were rude and lazy. I requested a receipt and was told he couldn’t give me a receipt. The charges were all messed up and I still haven’t figured out how much I’ve been over charged. I truly DO NOT RECOMMEND this hotel except for a last resort.

We booked this hotel for one night, but unfortunately, the stay was far below our expectations. The room was in poor condition and not comfortable at all. There were several insects in the room, especially around the lights. The bed was very uncomfortable, with noticeably sagging, deformed and uneven. The bathroom door also did not close properly, which was inconvenient and uncomfortable. Overall, the room appeared poorly maintained and did not provide a pleasant stay. Would not recommend this property and would definitely not stay here again.

I was first floor..... No extra lock on the door, no fridge, no soaps in the room, not enough wash rags or towels, no extra blanket when asked for. The dresser was moved close to the door (like the door hit it when opening it), and a weird door in our room......... not clean, water pressure sucked, bathroom door did not shut all the way.

Room was ok but had holes in bathroom door and cracks in the ceiling. The staff said I had to checkout in person and when I said I would be leaving between 3-4 in the morning, the person said there would always would be someone in the office. Whe I had to checkout, the office was closed and lights were turned off. They still have never returned the deposit and it has 10 days since checking out.

Everything was clean, the beds were comfortable, the showers were hot with good water pressure, and the staff were helpful. We wished there had been a mini fridge in our room.

You get what you pay for. Room was clean. Be aware, no refrigerator, no microwave. My biggest complaint is that the ONLY power outlet (other than the bathroom) was on the bedside lamp! No wall outlets anywhere, except the one used for the TV, which was inaccessible as the dresser was in front of it. There is an IHOP less than a block away that you can walk too. Again, this was OK for the price, just know what you are getting in to.

This was a very utilitarian old school drive-up motel. The room wasn't fancy, but it was clean and functional. We were happy that the ice machine worked well. The location turned out to be good for us. The parking lot was a little challenging, but we quickly figured out it was best to park in the open area on the far left side.
