La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Clinton Historic Route 66

The family suite was perfect for a family of 5 and already cool upon entry. AC worked great. Hallelujah, there were liners in the trash cans! There was a mounted shampoo, conditioner, shower gel rack in the shower. Beds were comfortable, and we loved the pillows. The breakfast was excellent and well maintained by a professional, friendly gentleman (eggs, sausage, biscuits/gravy, tots, fruit, yogurt, waffles, juice, coffee, etc.). The pool was cool to me, but my kids swore it was great and swam no problem; there were even pool toys provided. The check-out process let us choose our leaving time, which I really appreciated. The checkout young lady was very kind and friendly. If I'm listing any negatives at all, they are: -The bathroom had no exhaust fan (so everything gets very humid). -The shower curtain was so extremely short we struggled to keep water from getting on the floor. -The indoor pool area had outside doors propped open and big June beetles kept flying in and getting in the pool and crawling all around. Overall, the positives outweighed the negatives; we'd definitely stay again!

Property was odd (not difficult) to get to due to no interstate exit nearby. Very safe and very clean. Rooms were tight but laid out well and comfy. Square pillows, not rectangular, (if that matters to anyone). Breakfast was tasty - standard eggs/sausage/waffles and/or cereal/oatmeal. Fresh fruit and breads. Staff was friendly enough (I did not interact with anyone particularly). Parking was easy and safe.

Room was very clean, A/C worked well and overall hotel is nee and nice. A little hard to get to at the moment, bit the city is literally building new access to the area, so don't let this detour you from staying here.

Staff are welcoming. Room was clean. I used the exercise room and my granddaughter enjoyed the pool. Close the Route 66 restaurants. Close to I-40 for travel ease. Hotel is pet friendly and there is plenty room to walk pets. Without any reservations recommend this hotel

I loved how clean everything was. Breakfast was very good. Pool was perfect temperature.

The room was clean, the staff was friendly, check-in was very convenient and the whole experience was what I have come to expect when I stay at Laquinta. And that is why I stay here.

Room had fecal matter smeared on the walls and vomit on the door when we checked in. They recleaned the room but the couch has either chocolate or fecal matter on it as well. Property manager didn’t do anything to remedy the situation. Didn’t offer us credit for our next stay, discount, not even another room. Disappointed because I actually like this hotel. Decent gym, but had no AC on in it and would love if breakfast went started earlier for the oilfield men out here. But understandable.

Just a great place to stay

Staff was awesome!

The ice machine on the 3rd floor was broken and this was an inconvenience also we received a strange text from corporate at about 8 am prompting us to go to an online checkout and tell them when we would be leaving. This is not the way to treat a guest. They should not send this message.

The front desk staff is absolutely wonderful. So kind, helpful, and professional. Will be staying here again!

Condition of the property Location was bad. Exterior was dirty and run down. Room was dark and depressing. Grounds need attention.
