It is a good choice for a low to mid level hotel. It was clean and had comfortable beds

Room was filled with cigarette smoke when we arrived. We were unable to be moved to a different room. We were told we would be reimbursed for items to help clean the room --never got reimbursed. We were told we would get a discount for each night. That did not happen. Pool was closed when we arrived for maintenance

Location There is no light in the room. Seems kinda dark

Was quiet, staff friendly. Good breakfast. Stores nearby. Building needs updating. Poor lighting over the sink for getting ready in the morning.

Room was recently updated, but the shower rain was clogged and the toilet was not sealed to the floor. One recommendation would be better lighting by the sink and mirror Otherwise our visit was good..

It was located next to eating and grocery. Easy access from highway. Close and easy trip to hospital.

Beds were good but bathroom was small.

By the time we got down to breakfast at 7:45 the coffee was gone. Most of the food was gone we had to ask them to replenish.

The room was barely adequate. I am not sure how they get away with having the “portable” bed frame and highly uncomfortable, barely full-sized bed. The light over the mirror was so dim with no other lights available. The bathroom was clean but rust was evident in many spots. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly but will not be recommending in the near future.

It was close to where we needed to be and the beds were comfortable. Arrived and got in the shower after packing for a move in the heat. The body wash was totally empty! Then went to wash our hands and no soap! I had to keep running to the front desk. After a night’s sleep we went to make coffee in the room. There was a coffee maker, coffee, etc. but no cups! Went to breakfast and my husband poured sour milk in his cereal! Overall, I think maybe the hotel is understaffed and in need of attention. The breakfast area has seen better days and the food was not good. The only thing worth eating was the fresh waffles. The front desk clerk’s were friendly but not really apologetic for all the issues. All in all the experience was overpriced and I would not stay here again.

The staff were excellent. The management has tried to upgrade and has done an okay job. However, due to lack of adequate lighting over the sink, I had to guess where my part should be when drying my hair. I had to take my hand mirror to the window in order to apply makeup. The area is dark! Also, better lighting is required in the hallway to rooms and in the central stairwell. We will never stay in that hotel again. Cloquet needs a good Holiday Inn Express!

Bathroom door was broken, sink had hair in it so obviously it wasn’t cleaned door going to pool was broken and couldn’t lock, staff seemed nice and polite but the place needs work bad

The room had dirt in several areas on the floor. The sink didn't drain well and backed up with dirt and small knat looking bugs. Dirt along the sides of the platform that the bed was set on. One of the blankets smelled as if it hadn't been washed for a while. The bacon and eggs at breakfast were completely cold and not heated.
