Nice historical hotel. I did not care to much for carrying our luggage up to the 3rd floor using the steps, no elevator. Our room was small but manageable. Carpet in our room was stained, needed shampooing. Water pressure in the shower was very low, very little water

Short staffed. Needed to mow the golf course badly.

My husband and I stay here every few months. It’s always perfect!

Loved the location so nice to walk across the street to the golf course. It was nice having a restaurant on site. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

We enjoyed our stay at the Lodge. I will echo other guests that the front desk staff was a little cold on check in. We visited on the weekend and the front desk staff told me the breakfast was $10.99/person. I told them their website says it is included. She said well the policy has changed. I declined paying and in the morning went to breakfast and no one asked if we had paid or not, so not sure if that was a scam? We enjoyed the historic aspect of the hotel the most, but the property could use some updating. Our bed was very comfortable. The AC in our room was cold but it was very loud and made shrill noises on and off.

We arrived Saturday August 8th the room was great, the front desk folks and bartenders were amazing. However, they could use a more attentive hostess and serving help. We had a dinner reservation for fine dining at 6 pm, we showed up 10 minutes early, but they seated others without a reservation and left us standing there waiting. In my opinion they should be more receptive to guests.

Upon arrival until departure date, the staff were exceptional and very professional. The lodge is absolutely beautiful and although I was there for a service to honor my brother; I would not have stayed anywhere else. Grief is difficult; however the staff were always cheerful and accommodating. From the bottom of my heart m, I thank you. Nothing

Honestly, this was one of the worst hotel stays I’ve ever experienced. The property itself is beautiful and the location is great, but the customer service and overall experience were extremely disappointing. I booked a standard room, but when we checked in, we were given a room with a leaking AC unit. The floor and wall were soaked. When we brought this to the staff’s attention, we were told, “That’s why we gave you a discount—didn’t anyone tell you?” No one told us. Had we known the room had a significant water leak, we absolutely would not have agreed to stay there. I have severe allergies, including sensitivity to mold, so being placed in a room with water damage was especially concerning. This should have been disclosed before check-in. What made the situation worse was how we were treated when we asked for another room. We were moved three times, and we were in town for a friend’s wedding. We specifically needed a room where we could get ready for the wedding. On the day of the wedding, we still did not have a suitable room available. This created an incredible amount of unnecessary stress during what should have been a special weekend. We were also asked to pay a $25 early check-in fee, despite the fact that the room situation and multiple room changes were entirely outside of our control. That was extremely frustrating.

Staying at the Lodge in Cloudcroft is an experience! I enjoyed everything about my stay, from the atmosphere to the decor. The breakfast vouchers I was given for my 2 night stay were very kind, and I also enjoyed dining in the 1899 restaurant for breakfast. Keep up the good work, the Lodge!
