Stoney Creek Hotel Columbia

I would definitely stay here again.

Stoney Creek is my usual go-to hotel when I visit Columbia due to its central location, reasonable cost, complimentary breakfast, and bar. Room cleanliness can be hit or miss; this time I lucked out with a clean room. Staff is always very friendly and helpful. They had late checkout available (beyond what most hotels offer) at an extra cost - that definitely came in handy for this trip.

I love this place but the hot tub didn't work again and half the lights in my room weren't working. The most odd thing was the bar not having red wine. The bartender was very nice and she tried to do what she could to make it enjoyable. Plus she made fantastic popcorn.

They were out of all soaps no coffee are cups told the front desk she was very rude and didn’t even acknowledge what I told her wouldn’t suggest staying there

It was festive It was big and a long walk to our room.

Breakfast was not good and fresh never seen a breakfast attendant and I specifically asked about the breakfast before booking and what I was told was just the opposite Fresh breakfast

The hotel rooms are in need of renovations and better cleaning. There were stains in the toilet as well as orange rings around the bathroom sink. On top of that, there was a very strong odor in our room the whole time we were there. It smelled like the room was musty/dirty before and they used a ton of cleaning products to mask the smell. It messed with my wife and I as we were trying to sleep. The a/c worked well though and it’s not the worst hotel we’ve stayed at, just don’t know if it’s worth the money.

Whenever I visit Mizzou I first try to stay here. Staff is wonderful. Location great. Been staying here 4X a year for past 3 years.

The front desk staff and assistant manager were amazing. The location was close to everything. The hotel has interesting themes in each room. The rooms were very spacious. Our room wouldn’t cool down, bathroom faucets were leaky, light switches were broken and the hot tub jets were not operating.

Could hear the people next door running the water and the jets in their whirlpool tub. It was not quiet. Furniture and blinds in the room could use a good dusting. Was unable to close the blinds on my lower level floor room so had to be real careful at night when the lights were on. Nice place, good breakfast. Would consider staying there again.
