I was in town for a funeral in a rural area and wanted to keep certain amenities. The hotel staff and wall signage make it clear from the get go, that they expect the guests to be some kind of criminals. The room with the treadmill has no A/C or water, and only one tiny fan. It was the same 90° F that it was out doors. When I went to breakfast I said "good morning" to the woman who was on staff. She replied, "Are you a guest here?" I said, yes. She then sat and watched me eat, eyeing me suspiciously the whole time. It seemed to me, that this must just be a miserable place to work, and the clientele must all be insufferable. If you have the budget to bump up to another level, I highly recommend choosing a different chain. If you don't, you might as well just choose the least expensive motel, because the amenities are not really worth it for this property, and it's pretty depressing.
