Wingate by Wyndham Coon Rapids

Guy that checked us in was slow and rude to a man wanting something from the store when i told him he could help him first and he didnt. This guy has worn the same Nintendo/Mario t-shirt the last 3 times I've been there - coincidence? Shower? Hes not a good representative at the front desk.

Transition between bathroom and room is Dangerous and should be addressed to avoid a lawsuit! Housekeeping was cleaning room across hall at 9am and arguing amongst themselves LOUDLY and woke us up. Had to open door in only underwear to ask them to be quiet. They continued to argue loudly and just closed the door. Argument was in Spanish so I dont know if they understood what I said, but no excuse for this. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

I loved it everything was great, comfortable big beds great breakfast buffet I will stay again for sure.

Furniture in room broken or in disrepair. Mold and rust in the bathroom.

We booked 2 rooms. Both rooms were dirty: Bedsheets and comforter stained, holes in towels, lamp multiple lamp shades filthy, furniture (end tables) were damaged from water and peeling. Brealfast was ok, it was edible. This place needs a complete face-lift!

With family visiting extended family nearby. Met our needs!

Location Broken lampshades, shower rod, falling off the wall, the drapery over the PTAC unit cover the vent, so you can’t get any air unless the drapes are open. Housekeeping didn’t outstanding job making the room clean and comfortable. Lastly, the very nice woman that checked me in, was wearing a T-shirt that said “I don’t give a shit.“ That’s a pretty low bar for the hotel.

The stay here was great. It seems like I was in te middle of everything I needed (food/entertainment, ect). They switched up their breakfast, at least 2 times.... maybe 3😁. More than anything, the staff was as helpful, as hospitable as could be.

No hair dryer in the room, asked at Front Desk and their response was only that some rooms have them, some don't. Reservation for 3 adults and towels provided for just 2 people - asked and Front Desk didn't seem to understand that each adult requires their own bath towel. Bed sheet with hole in it - clearly visible when bed was made. Housekeeping inconsistent. One day missed completely. Another day the bathroom was done but bed not made.

Loved the size of the room!

Location Room was unkept and staff was non- existent. Asked to see a manager three consecutive days and they were never in the hotel. Room wasn’t cleaned well, trash left in hallways. Breakfast was semi-acceptable

The front desk employees I encountered were friendly, but the overall check-in experience felt unprofessional. At check in the desk staff's personal phone rang multiple times with a very annoying ring tone on max volume. I was not asked for identification when checking in, and multiple front desk staff members were dressed very casually in t-shirts/street clothes. Given that the front desk is the first impression of a hotel, I expected a more professional presentation. The lobby and luggage cart I found were also noticeably dirty. The room smelled fresh and initially appeared clean, but several areas needed attention. Surfaces and drawers were grimy, the lampshades were stained, and the bathroom wallpaper was peeling. We stayed three nights, but housekeeping only serviced the room once. Breakfast was disappointing as well, with dirty tables and sticky counters. The property's cleanliness, maintenance, and overall presentation need significant improvement. Given my past experience with Wyndham hotels, I expected a much higher standard of cleanliness, professionalism, and overall guest experience. Unfortunately, the hotel did not deliver the value I anticipated.

Exhaust vent in bathroom was dirty I cleaned other than that was good

First for the negative. Had a nice view of the pool, room 208, but was obscured by filthy windows. Most of the dirt and grime on the outside. Since its probably tough to reach from the pool level up I can see how it would be difficult to maintain but you still need to clean at least monthly. Had a few rips in the lampshade by the bed, the outside blanket on the bed had a couple small holes in them and the door hinges in the bathroom are all starting to rust and needs to be addressed. In addition when I walked into the room initially found the door was open and the bed wasn't completely made. Assuming the attendant was called away and forgot to come back to finish. Finally difference between the daytime desk person and night time was really stark. John, my later day clerk was fantastic. Addressed my issues when brought to his attention. Did it with care and professionalism . Also helped me out with a purchase at their store. For the daytime there was a lady who really didn't have any immediacy when I told her my room eventually would need a stopper for the bathroom tub which is missing. Almost like she blew it off. For positive, it was John's service, breakfast choices were varied and good plus I liked both the fitness center options as well as the pool. Overall if more attention is made for upkeep and cleaning this would be even a more desired stop for travelers. Nice location with numerous restaurants within walking distance.

Close to my work site Which is a huge convenience

The towels in the bathroom were full of holes, no hot water. There was also an opened can of soda next to the microwave and a sock was at the foot of the bed. Honestly I don't know when the hotel room had even been cleaned but it was disgusting. Save yourself the money and go elsewhere. Run to a different hotel.

The location was great I was disappointed with my stay. The staff would quote one price and then later change it, which was frustrating and felt unprofessional. The beds are extremely outdated and very uncomfortable. I stayed for a week, and by the end I was genuinely relieved that I no longer had to sleep there.The property itself was not as clean as I expected, and overall it felt like it could use better maintenance. The complimentary breakfast was nothing special. While I wouldn’t say it was the worst I’ve had, I found very little of it enjoyable or appetizing. Overall, my experience did not meet my expectations, and I would not choose to stay here again.

Great stay

The towels in the bathroom were very worn and frayed. Some even had holes in them. The only curtains on the window were blackout drapes. Since we were on a ground floor we could not have any light from the window except by having the drapes open which then allowed for anyone to look easily into the room. The electrical lighting was very poor, nothing but a few lamps which were inadequate. Also thought the complimentary breakfast was poor. The donuts were stale and the other things served were not very good.
