The room could definitely use some upgrades, especially the bathroom.
-
Very spacious parking without problem with that, easy check in, the room has a smell like cigarette, old carpet, spacious room but bad odor.

Rhe room was clean. Water pressure is excellent. The bed was comfortable. The pillows were awful. Lumpy. The room had an unpleasant musty smell. Sprayed some of my perfume which helped.

The Red Lion in Coos Bay is a good choice when travelling for business. The rooms are large, and it's close to everything.

Other than convenience of location there isn't much I can say about it.

I tried to call the front desk several times the afternoon of our stay, as we were going to arrive late in the evening. The first time the phone kept ringing. No one answered. The second time the person who answered put me on hold without asking. I was on hold for several minutes with loud background music and an automated message that kept repeating about being on hold and that someone would be helping me soon. This happened over and over again. The phone would ring and the person would again put me on hold without asking if it's okay to do so. After several minutes, I hung up and called again. Same thing. On hold for several minutes, being put on hold again and again and again. Later that evening I called again. After being put on hold several times someone finally picked up and acknowledged our late arrival between 8:30pm and 10:30pm. When we checked in we were told the free breakfast would be simple. A breakfast burrito to heat up in the microwave. When we got in the room the fridge wouldn't shut completely and the freezer part was frozen (needed to bd defrosted). The microwave was dirty inside. One of the lights in the bathroom didn't work. The toilet didn't work. Water was shut off. And once turned on, didn't completely fill up. Popcorn ceilings. Outdated 80s decor. Phone not working. Chris at the front desk said people in line take priority over phone calls. Worst hotel experience. We should receive a refund.

Overall, this is my fourth time staying at this establishment and I will have to say, each time the property seems to be that much more falling apart. I grew up in this area and I remember in the 1980s the property was still well managed and the "place" to stay. However, more recently in the 2000s it seems like the property is being more used for getting out the most profit with little to no maintenance to the property. It is disheartening to see such a property go down! This last time around will probably be the last time I stay there.

For an overnight stay, it’s just fine.
-
Dirty room. Staff was not very friendly. Left a day early.
-
Not very clean

Manager acted bothered when we checked in. There was people fighting in the parking lot, the building looked unkept and unmaintained, the room smelled moldy and looked like it was from the 70’s. This location is advertised as a hotel but it actually a motel.

None

Easy to locate and drive to
-
The staff was unavailable and unaware of anything going on. Vaping continually around the premises including right in front of guests. Rooms weren’t cleaned when distributed to guests and it was past check in time. Hot tub and pool were nasty. Unable to get room cleaned if you weren’t a check out. No manager on premises and it was a big weekend with multiple baseball events going on.

Room was clean, staff not welcoming
-
Although we arrived late in the evening, there was no difficulty checking in. The room was adequate. We had to leave early the next day.
-
Spacious room and convenient location. Staff were friendly.
-
Room was dirty. Bed was uncomfortable. Carpet is very stained and gross. We might hv been better served to save money and go to motel 6

The room was clean but very worn. Towels were quite thin although the water pressure in the shower was great! Would probably not stay here again.

The only thing I can say about this place is the bed was comfortable. The room smelled musty, moldy, and stale like maybe people had smoked in their years ago and they still haven’t got the smell out. The lady that checked us in was no help on anything there is no restaurant here no bar and the EV charger they say they have it does not work and when you ask the lady to check us in, she says I don’t know. I don’t use them, but they’re there. Definitely will not be staying here again. if it’s the only place left in town and you need a soft bed sure but other than that go to a place that at least provides you shampoo, conditioner, and more than one bar of soap, there was nothing in this room.
