Looks expensive and price is high but rooms are a small upgrade from a basic motel. The shower was dirty and had pubic hair as well as black hair (I’m blonde) on shower walls. There was dirt on the shower curtain and the counter, I was able to wipe that off with water. The carpet was clearly not vacuumed and had stains everywhere. I had to wear shoes the whole time I was in the room so I didn’t have crumbs on my feet. The wallpaper was peeling and the room had a weird smell. The hotel choice was very last minute because I didn’t want to drive 2hrs home at 10pm. I almost walked back out since the room was not very clean. I was nervous to sleep in the bed considering how dirty everything else was.

Beautiful hotel! Loved the location and amenities

Now, the staff was very friendly and helpful, the rooms were nice and serviced regularly, and the place was wonderful. However, the hot tubs did go out, the bugs were frequently bad, the beach access is not good at all, and everything was more expensive than advertised. Parking is around $50 per night, which wasn't covered up front. Resort fees are almost $50 per day as well which, again were not mentioned up front. And in general, the drinks, in room dining, and food was more than it was worth. Now, I would still recommend this place because the people were pretty nice but I would caution people to know what you are spending.

The only negative thing I can say is we paid for valet parking but in order to leave the premises you have to pay at the gate to leave as well. I think if you’re staying at the hotel then you shouldn’t have to pay at the gate as well.

Fabulous resort and staff
-
The property is very old and visibly so. Not very clean or well maintained. The views were beautiful and the highlight of the stay.
-
The property needs updating badly and pool needs to be cleaner there was a lot of seagull feces on the pool deck and some in the water

The rooms can use some updates but I highly recommend for a short stay.

I loved everything about this hotel. The staff, property location, great amenities with 3 pools, hot tubs, and pickle ball courts. Free shuttle to downtown Coronado. Beautiful views of the Bay and Marina. Rooms are spacious and clean. Truly a wonderful resort getaway experience. We look forward to staying here again.

Pool and cleanliness

Very large room with nice view of the bay. The one short coming was the shower. Large bathroom with a tub and shower but the shower was a small cabinet. How many people actually use a standard size tub.? The tub took up a lot of space that could have a lovely shower. Generally I would say I would go back when I visit San Diego.
-
Beautiful area, upscale resort amenities. Shower drain was partially clogged and retained water. Additional/add on amenities were at an expensive cost- a couples massage was $550 before tip.

After I checked in I came back out and I got some more attitude The worst part of the stay was the food sickness I experienced and had to go to the ER the next day, I ate the Breakfast burrito at their coffee shop. I reached out to management and got an email with no real apology Our families have been staying and have had events at the resort and will look for another place to stay when we revisit Coronado

Birthday getaway trip with my husband. Everything was great!
-
This property is dated and unclean. I will not stay here again. The hotel staff was nice. The billing department was unflexible.
-
The property has nice dining options and the rooms are decent and comfortable. The parking fee, whether you self park or valet is INSANE on top of room fees, resort fees and taxes! Ridiculous

Move rooms as we didn’t feel safe and we got an “upgrade” a room with a marina view to a grass area with other balconies is not an upgrade. In the morning when we went to order a cart up to our room they could not find me in the system even with my reservation number so we had to take all our luggage down to check out and they have an endless hall so not really easy to manage all of our luggage! Claim to be dog friendly but then hotel staff member we asked could not recommend a good place for me to take my dog out. Had to figure that out on my own. Was just such an incredibly disappointing and strange experience for a luxury hotel!
