San Diego has lots of beautiful resorts! This one isn’t worth the price/hype. The fact that it’s a convention center gives it a different vibe than most resorts. The pools are nice but I was disappointed they weren’t open to putting the big screen in the wave pool on for requests (it wasn’t on a lot of the time we were there). It would be great if they advertised what was going to be on the big screen when you are looking at booking as that’s one of the big draws to the pool area.

This property like to double charge for room taxes and resort fees upon check out that were already included in the room rate at the time I booked the reservation. Then made me jump through hoops to prove that I was double charged before informing me that it has to go up for a review. This is unacceptable!

You can order room service, but there really weren’t clear directions on how to do it, and the phones in the room didn’t work. There also wasn’t enough communication about how to get around the resort or what was going on. The pool closes way too early, and there were a bunch of kids running around. I definitely think a resort like this should have an adults-only pool area. Overall, the property is beautiful, but for the amount of money we spent, I expected a lot more. The stay wasn’t horrible, but it was definitely mediocre and, for me, not worth the price.
