Great location and reasonable price

They could do a better breakfast. Waffles and cereal all carbs. Fruit 1 day was banana's on the last day of our stay it was apples. On our last day 1 coffee pot was cold the other was hot and of course we chose the cold one first. Toast ? It was there but no eggs and mini blueberry muffins. Very small Danon yogurt cups.

Check in was horrible. I got there and the staff, "Jay" was giving another man trying to check in a difficult time. He refused to allow me to check in cause my name that I go by "Jay" wasn't the same name on my license. Never had an issue with this before. Refused to contact a supervisor when I asked since over the past 25 years of using Hotels.com, I've never had this issue. Figured out how to change name and checked in. He was rude and unprofessional. The room was OK. The ac had a weird smell when used, but I wasn't in the room except to sleep. Got up early in the morning and there was a HUGE cockroach on the wall chilling. I notified front desk but didn't get back to the hotel until 11 that night. Went through my room to make sure there weren't any roaches in my bag. My bag is still inside a garbage bag on the deck until I can go through and make sure no roaches are in it. I would not stay here again which sucks as this is a nice mid point for when I'm traveling in Texas which is 8-15 times a year.

Pretty clean area and gated which is really nice. Some of the appliances didn’t work like the microwave. Front desk is really helpful and Overall a really comfortable and clean room to stay in.

The staff was rude, disinterested, and tired. Any questions were met with irritation as if I had no right to ask questions. The breakfast was pitiful with the juice so watered down no one drank any. Basically just cereal with no milk, a couple muffins, and a waffle machine. The building itself was old but ok. The room was clean and seemingly not as old as the rest of the building. I smelled weed smoke in the hallways from some of the rooms. Phone didn’t work on the room. I chose this because I had a last minute conference and don’t want to spend too much for one night. I guess I got what I paid for (sarcasm)

Breakfast left a lot to be desired. Minimal and coffee was awful. Room was clean and comfortable. Security guard was overly aggressive with my 52 year old son going to car to get luggage. After showing guard room key he was not satisfied, they went to lobby to verify, clerk verified and still guard tried to block him from leaving lobby. Police were called, report filled. Not a great 1st night at hotel.

overall a generally clean room, toilet seat was broken, hallways were very stinky and the outside was completely a mess. front door entrance to hotel was broken completely. rough neighborhood. lots of men lingering outside. as a women, i wouldn’t feel comfortable staying here alone.

Room TV did not work...moved to another room and it stopped working too. Water was barely warm for the shower.

The floor and the kitchen counter were dirty. There was no soap in the shower dispenser.

The only thing was that the balcony sliding door wouldn’t close

Wasn’t any soap at all, Or really anything complementary which is fine. But really would be nice. Great staff. Nice parking, would stay again.

Was forced to leave hotel at 2am being so uncomfortable to have grown men follow me to my room & car.

Wanted to swim in the pool. It was closed for maintenance. Loved the room was more like a suite. The stove top thing didn’t work and they had a dishwasher but no dishes?

My stay at the Hawthorn was well worth its value. The staff was nice, warm and accommodating. The facility was clean and hygienic.
