Motel 6 Garland, TX - Northeast Dallas

Pool is always closed and should be removed from amenities list. No microwave no mini fridge no coffee maker. Outdated room but mostly clean. Garland police was called while we were there and the officer was talking to other customer and then proceeded to tell us that he wouldn’t recommend we stay there. Front desk clerk was awful. We personally saw him argue with customers in front of us and the garland police officer against what his manager said to do for them to help them remedy their situation. I only booked this room bc I had a class to attend and it was a convenience vs 1 hr drive for two days. I was looking forward to the pool but the front desk clerk just rolled his eyes and said yes it is closed. Honestly I wouldn't have stayed if I didn’t have class to attend. Will not go back and 100% do not recommend.

The room was clean I barely saw the staff there is not an outdoor pool it's really a place to get a good night's rest

These people here are terrible, from the front desk down to housekeeping. They are so rude. My room stunk the moment I opened the door no refrigerator or microwave horrible WiFi this place is a NO-GOO

Smelled bad. Door lock was broken. Sketchy area. I guess you get what you pay for.

Had mold in room pool wasn’t open bathroom ceiling fan was leaking water bad

Room appeared clean but there were a few roaches. Sink faucet was very loose at the base. The shower/tub faucet would not work. Front desk said to pull on it and the water would come on. I told him that if I pulled on it much harder I would likely damage it and I was not going to be responsible for a water leak or damage. Guess I didn't need a shower today. This is a very commercial/industrial area. Definitely needs some maintenance.

Terrible motel. Room is full of stains. No living room lights. Bathtub is full of cigarret burns.

Staff in front lobby were nice Roaches, stains and dirty (property needs better taking care of, cleanliness all around (room, bathroom)

The room had bugs, & broken idems the morning front desk clerk was very rude

The property smelt like drugs and I don’t mean cigarettes. I mean weed and meth, I saw somebody snorting on a rail. And when I told the staff all they said was “oh that’s normal”. We had people banging on our door and no one even did anything about it.

On the plus side, the sheets and towels seemed to be clean and the A/C worked. Poor quality construction. Deteriorated conditions. Mold growing in shower. Room door lock in-op. TV screen was actually just a 27" computer monitor mounted on a wall across the room. Too small to see anything. No breakfast to speak of. Even now in 2026, he property has a standard warning that because of COVID, things may not be quite right.

Would love for them to bring coffee back in the mornings. Other than no coffee available, it was a pleasant stay.

It did the job for our stay.

The staff was great and accommodating especially the housekeepers. Room was spotless clean. Overall a safe and comfortable stay. The knob to the showers was a bit difficult to turn or even pull, the light switches were a bit confusing.
