My biggest issue is that Holiday Inn Express has a policy that they put a 25.00 charge on your credi when you check in. This charge is to cover any incidental's that you may have. In 40 years of staying in hotel's I have never had an incidental charge. Of course the charge is immediately visible on your credit card but takes serveral days to be reversed. Holiday Inn Express is able to use 10's of thousands of dollars daily while you have to wait for the charge to be reversed.

There was no coffee maker in the room, the bathroom was large but needed some love around the tub and floor. Staff were very nice. Area was safe and maintained.

Our room was not fully cleaned with some kind of dark goop on the counters. Shower had dirty walls. We only had two bath towels and one washcloth, like they hadn’t restocked. No linens for pullout. (We were able to get towels and linens from desk later.) Breakfast was the worst we’ve had at a Holiday Inn Express. Most items were not stocked, no one available to help, counters and tables dirty, no salt and pepper (just empty containers.) Overall, not a good stay. When I tried to speak to the morning desk attendant, she was dismissive. I do have photos, should that be helpful for management.

Lots of seniors have difficulty getting in the bed, lower would be better.

We had a roach in the bathtub. Sheets weren’t clean. They forgot to wash laundry so no-one had towels. There was underwear hanging from the back of the bathroom door. The list goes on. It was just nasty.

Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was great! Tile floor was nasty! I had to clean a spill, and the towel I used was black when done. Roach in the floor dead. Door did not shut well. Had to force open and closed! Like using your body to force it open and closed. Pool was nasty, green!!

We usually stay at Holiday Inn Express because they are pretty predictable. This one was the exception. There were NO cinnamon rolls at b'fast, no milk, and only jelly in a squeezable jar that was communal. Some of the property looked well maintained, while other parts (like hallway rugs) could use some help. Definitely not my favorite.

Bed was comfy and the breakfast was okay. The room wasn’t very nice. Most of the usb plugs were broke. The bathroom mirror only lit up 1/4 of the way. The blinds were ripped up on bottom. The window could open all the way up on the 3rd floor of our room with no screen or safety features.

Overall was good. However, the bread and bagels were stale (I could not eat them).

I had spoken with Kara earlier in the morning, and she confirmed that my room would be ready upon my arrival. However, when I got there, it had been given to someone else. To make matters worse, the ice machine was empty and there was no creamer available for the coffee, which made the stay even less enjoyable. While Amy tried her best to assist me by providing extra bed sheets to make a makeshift bed on the floor for my family, this shouldn't have been necessary. I paid for a room that was supposed to accommodate us comfortably, yet we had to resort to such measures. Additionally, my room didn’t even come with towels, which is unacceptable. To add insult to injury, I was informed that I could have a late checkout at 1 PM since the usual time is 12. However, at 11 AM, my room card stopped working! This was just the cherry on top of an already frustrating stay. I would not recommend staying at the Hilton in Dothan, Alabama. Unfortunately, my experience was a series of disappointments, and I expect much better from a hotel that carries the Hilton name.

Very comfortable beds. Clean, fresh smelling room. At breakfast, a smiling staff member and breakfast attendant walked through the dining area greeting guests and inquiring if everything was good. How nice! Pool area was clean and pleasant. Overall a very clean hotel.

Great breakfast. Loved the walk-in shower, but the rainhead shower? Need a hand-held option. Bed way too high and I a semi-handicapped after back surgery. Way too soft. We were very uncomfortable.

Check in lady was awesome. Cleaning staff etc. with ALL employees very respectful and welcoming. Breakfast was a disaster. They were OVERWHELMED. Line waiting for breakfast bacon. Bacon had the greatest taste!!! Ran out of eggs. Served egg whites only. No pancake service, but machine Was there. I would stay there again. Nice hotel
