Glacier Park Lodge
About Glacier Park Lodge
Situated at the southeast corner of Glacier National Park, Glacier Park Lodge was the first hotel built by the Great Northern Railway. It's been the first stop on visitors' Glacier vacations for decades. Inside the historic hotel, Douglas Fir logs tower over the lobby, a fire crackles in the stone fireplace and guests gather to share stories of the day's adventures. Instead of television, you'll find beautiful mountain views and instead of air conditioning you'll breath fresh Montana mountain air. Glacier Park Lodge is the perfect place to unplug and immerse yourself in Glacier National Park. This establishment does not accept pets.

Great place
-
The place was super cute! It was super noisy! It was difficult to sleep. There was very little Wi-Fi for the rainy parts of the day!
-
Amazing property and staff were so welcoming.

The hotel is very nicely located to all of the East Glacier National Park attractions. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The only slight drawback was a lack of elevator for the lodge due to age, not bad until you come back after a long day of hiking. Won’t keep us from going back. Fireplace is beautiful and welcoming. Staff was very nice.

It was a great stay with a great room. The food at the lodge is way to expensive!
-
Our grandkids loved the front lawn area with games, soccer goals, and plenty of area to explore.
-
Very cool and historic. Staff friendly. Great porches and tables for games in main lobby area. Great musicians in the lobby in the evening. Just be aware it is of the era. No mini fridge or micro. No elevator, so you carry everything up the stairs. Part of the charm, yes. A coffee maker in the room would have been a giant upgrade, instead of charging over $5 for it. Pack your French Press and enjoy the gardens.

Great place to stay, room was clean.
-
Historical value of the property.
-
Very cool structure! Beautiful grounds! Awesome Great Northern restaurant!! Room was satisfactory.

The hotel is very big. The room was bare but spacious. Wifi is spotty at best. No elevators so you have to carry the suitcases up the stairs or ask the bellboys for help if you find them. The restaurants at the hotel are ok but everything is overpriced. The place is mostly populated with octogenarians and some families. The vibe is guided tours not hiking. It's not a place for people who want to explore nature by themselves. And it's price tag is well above what it should be.

Beautiful, retained the historical charm while updating
-
The property is a grand property built during early times that lacks certain amenities that modern travelers expect. For instance, no elevators. Our room was very small and hadn't been updated. It was clean, though; the corridor was quiet. The setting is relaxing and invites the hurried traveler to slow down, enjoy conversation or a game of cards, read a book, or surf the internet. The staff is numerous, knowledgeable, courteous and pleasant. It is near to Glacier National Park, and across from the East Glacier Park Amtrack station.

Wonderful room and view and dining room and grounds and staff.
-
Staff was very welcoming and the grounds and lodge were incredible.
-
The staff are very friendly and helpful. However, the bathrooms desperately need upgraded and offer no counter space. The mattresses are very uncomfortable. The dining room was very nice but very overpriced for the food received. It is also difficult to have no mini fridge or microwave if you don’t plan ahead or want to pay the high food prices as the lodge.

The lobby is the highlight of this hotel. With huge pine trunks that support the entire lobby roof that is three stories tall. We also had a very good dinner in the dining room and they have a handy coffee bar in the morning for breakfast sandwiches, donuts, pastries, and coffee. The views from the balcony of the mountains in Glacier national Park is grand.

Great staff, clean, very nice old school accommodations.

The real highlight was the bathroom. The shower wasn't even arm-width wide! I dropped the soap and had to step out of the shower to pick it up. And before anyone asks, I'm not a big girl! My husband and I couldn't stop laughing at how tiny the bathroom was. It definitely made for a memorable stay!

Great lodge but room and bathroom is small and outdated but part of the history of the place.
