However, the fitness room was out of commission during my stay, which was disappointing as I was hoping to use that amenity. At check-in, the staff were friendly and welcoming, but I did notice that some of the information being discussed at the front desk was not very confidential, especially with other guests standing nearby. Overall, it was a comfortable stay, but a few improvements in amenities and front desk privacy would enhance the guest experience.

The hotel was clean and quiet. It's within walking distance of restaurants and Walmart. Eastland is a small town with very friendly people.

With rising prices in the greater Abilene area, this property in Eastland is worth the stop. If you are not in a rush, many of the historic small towns offer wonderful food and shopping. This property offers clean rooms and great water pressure (always important). The staff was very helpful and the no frills breakfast was always hot and available for four hours. Need a general store with a pharmacy ? It’s across the highway. Need Starbucks? Just 25 minutes away. Fast food? Take your pick. Gas? All over. Plenty of towels. I would prefer on-wall soaps, shampoo and conditioner in the bath but you, like me, probably have your own. Good property for a reasonable price. You’ll pay more for less in Abilene. Trust me.

While the staff was super friendly and helpful, the facility needs some care. Our room was okay. The towels and bedding had stains or were dingy. The carpet was stained and dirty I never took my socks off. But the staff was wonderful.
