Hilton Garden Inn Sacramento Elk Grove

A lot of the amenities are old and not properly maintained. The hot tub was not hot, the treadmills were running poorly, ice rooms were broken, and my fridge in my room either wouldn’t run or would freeze my food. The staff were very nice.

The room was very dated. Carpets need cleaned or replaced. Shower need some work.

When I did check in, it seems like the systems were down so a copy of my ID as well as my credit card card was held. The Wi-Fi was off for a while so that was something that I do. Look forward to having in a hotel. I also listen to the toilet running all night and they had many people running down the hallway and making a lot of noise. I probably will not go to that one next time. I will probably go to another one.

Nice clean room, soft bed, and staff was nice.

Great location right off the highway and within walking distance to several food options for meals.

My stay at Hilton Gardens in Elk Grove went well until I woke up in the middle of the night by someone trying to get into my room. They had accessed to my room for some unknown reason when I was only given one key to my room. Fortunately for me that person was not able to fully open my door because I had the bolt lock in place. The person appeared drunk. When I called the front desk about the incident, the receptionist stated that that person was probably staying at a different Hilton Gardens in the Sacramento area with the same room number and that why he was able to have access to my room. I frustrated at his response and didn’t make any sense of why Hilton Gardens will allow such things to happen. I was able to change my room, only because I asked for it. If you’re looking for a safe place to stay, this place isnt it. Hilton gardens please do better. I won’t be coming back.

The room that I book was wheelchair accessible and literally right next to all the foot traffic and elevators on the first floor. The room it self was spacious but the room looked like it had not been updated since the 80's. The beds where bad and I did not sleep well.

Lets start with the positive, great location, plenty of stores and take-out places to eat at. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly facilities are well kept. I arrived to the Sacramento area a little sooner than expected so I called and asked for an early check in and they were able to accommodate. That was really helpful when traveling with family. Next, we get into the room and this is where the bulk of my gripes are about. For what I paid for, the room was sub-par. The furniture and carpeting looks well lived in and dated. The room we stayed in needs a face lift bad. the bedding was clean and well put together, and the bathroom was problematic. the glazing in the tub was chipping off, the wall paper is coming off the toilet seat looked like its been there for 25 years and I had a hard time getting the air conditioning to work. Also we found the biggest black widow spider in the bathroom early in the morning, that thing was gnarly. Noise wise, the room was fine, you can't really hear whats going on outside or next door which was great when sleeping. This was my second time staying at the Hilton garden but I think next time ill go elsewhere just because I don't think the value of the rooms matches the price.
