The front desk staff was friendly but she couldn't fix my concerns. There was no maintenance person on staff when I arrived at 7 pm. Bathroom ceiling fan and attached light did not turn on. There was a dim light over the bathroom sink but was not enough light in the bathroom for me. Hair dryer was attached to the wall....controls on the dryer didn't work except for the hottest most forceful blow dry. Tried to change rooms, staff let me change to the room next door but both TV remotes in room did not work. Tried to call front desk to let them know but room phone didn't work. So I stayed in the room with dim bathroom. Bed was very uncomfortable and the lumpiest bed I've ever slept on. Room was very hot, controls on the wall air conditioning unit didnt work properly. The ac unit had a very musty smell to it. Opened.window and the sliding window opened all the way (safety hazard) and there was no screen. It appeared that the hotel used satellite TV. Only about 5 channels (PBS type channels) that kept losing its signal. Picture was constantly pixelating. Finally, I just turned it off and went to sleep. Used the restroom on first floor before I left in the morning and there were no paper towels in the dispenser to dry hands. All of these little details added up to a very unpleasant stay.

Room was clean and comfortable and the staff was very friendly. Pool and hot tub were clean but the pool was too cold to use. The hot tub was the perfect temp. Breakfast was tasty except the eggs which looked like slabs of rubber. Would stay here again.

Thankfully the USB outlets by the bed worked (the reading lights did not), but the USB outlets on the desk did not work (we did not bring an adapter to see if those outlets worked). There was basically a pothole in one second floor hallway (covered with carpet, but a definite very soft spot). Water pressure was low in the shower (not unusual, but still disappointing). The overall smell was damp(?) and there was a small fly (fruitfly) in our room, which seemed really odd. There were towels on the floor by the windows in the lobby after overnight rainfall. I really appreciate when a hotel dedicates one carafe for hot water only instead of just randomly selecting a carafe that was possibly used for coffee previously - this one does not have a dedicated hot water carafe and my tea tasted like old coffee - useless, wasteful, and very unappealing, thankfully the tea selection didn't have me anticipating a tasty cup of tea. We paid a lot of money for a mediocre stay. I know it was probably due to a college football game over the same weekend, but all of the imperfections might have been more easily overlooked if the prices were not so incredibly outrageous.
