Excellent staff. They were very polite and eager to assist us. The hotel was beautiful and well kept. The food from the hotel restaurant "Oxley House" was outstanding and their bar was perfect. This place has it all. We are definitely coming back for another stay and would highly recommend it to everyone.

We enjoyed everything about the Tygart Hotel...the staff, the location, but mostly the charm! So glad this building was renovated and is still serving the public instead of being torn down, as many cities do. I would definitely stay here again. Only that I wish my stay could have been longer!

Our experience at the Tygart hotel was far beyond any of our expectations. The entire building was extremely clean, our room was very spacious and had more than enough space for my spouse and our child. The on-site restaurant, the Oxley House, had incredible food and was a great place to eat after a long day exploring in the national forest. The staff were always extremely friendly and very helpful and we felt right at home. After a two night stay, we felt like old friends with everyone!

A great and unexpected hotel in downtown Elkins. Very clean, nicely decorated with a great staff and nice restaurant and bar.

We travel a lot and this is one of the more enjoyable hotel experiences we have had. Checkin was painless. Room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The front desk and housekeeping staff were great. Very friendly and helpful. I wish I could give them more stars. Also, The Oxley House restaurant was good and there are several good restaurants within a 1 to 2 block walk

The Tygart was a delightful experience. It is located on the main strip of Elkins and is walkable to many different restaurants and activities. We used it as a home base for other nature-related adventures, and it was good to have a nice place to come back to in civilization! They have dedicated parking close to the hotel, the staff was lovely, and there is a fun bar downstairs. Nothing I can think of.
