Thunderbird Motel

It was packed so parking was difficult but other than that staff was fantastic

Staff was amazing and very helpful.

Very friendly staff and the room and bathroom were clean and comfortable.

Cheery, friendly reception. Room had the basics. Layout was a little weird but no biggie. Pool was being maintained and surrounding area was a little treacherous. Breakfast sandwiches available at breakfast, not bad, but I went with BJ Bull's pasties and pies down the block, not to be missed.

It was one of the best places we stayed at during our country-wide road trip. Clem, Comfy, Quiet, and great breakfast. Stay there if you spend the night in Elko.

Clean room and friendly staff. I didn't think that the motel is that like clean.

It's an older building, but the rooms are well maintained and clean with modern amenities and quite a few electrical sockets. Breakfast was good, though fewer choices than most places.

Nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable. Worked great for a one night stay.

The staff was incredibly rude. The second we walked in, she did not even lift her head to acknowledge our presence. She then threw my cards on the counter, told me I “better not” be bringing pets (I was not) and did not say any words. It was so bad that I felt uncomfortable and wanted to leave immediately. She did not activate our card, I think out of spite, so when we attempted to get in our room, it was locked. We had to go back to her to get a key. My husband went without me because I was very upset about everything. After 20 minutes of banging on their so called “night window” he finally got to her. She did not even speak to him. Just took the card, activated it and walked back to sleep in the lobby. Then when we got in the room, it was a headboard floating on the wall, one queen bed in the far corner, and a picnic table. It looked like a murder scene. I have never felt more disappointed, disgusted, or shocked at the way I was treated by someone for no reason at all. I would recommend they remove their unhelpful front staff and get some more cleaners, better rooms, and expand the budget on important things rather than people who sleep behind the counter.

Carpet was stained but everything else was clean. Staff was kind and helpful and it was great to have various options for breakfast.

Clean room, the batroom and appliances seemd liked they were cleaned a long while ago. Sheets and towels were clean. Because the hotel is next to a busy street, roaring engines can be heard if idling nearby. Price and staff were excellent .

Nice and clean

Rooms were very clean. Front desk staff were helpful and kind. Pool was dirty. Water was clear but the bottom feels slimy. Like they need a pool vac. Other than the pool this place was great!! Will definitely come stay again.

Beds were on the hard side. Breakfast was ok.

This was my second time at this location. I would recommend this property. Clean room, free breakfast and great location.
