YMCA of The Rockies Estes Park

Place was just a nifty place to stay! We were very happy with it!

Great things to do. Did not like rooms without microwave, ice, basics

Hair dryer shall be in the room.

It was okay but expensive for what you get. No mini fridge or coffee/hot water. It was clean but very basic for the cost

The location is perfect for going to the Rocky Mountain National Park. And the price value is also great.

Nice place to stay. Cafeteria is convenient a great quality place to stay and very affordable.

The elk were rutting and roamed the grounds. And the Aspens were close to peak color. We had a lodge room that had really no amenities other than a fan. But the daytime temperature was low and lower at night. Not sure if I'd stay in the room during summer. There is a wide variety of levels of rooms to select from. I opted for the lowest cost. And got what I paid for.

Location is perfect

The resort property was beautiful. Our room could have been cleaner, and the mattress was miserably uncomfortable.

We were only here one night and would not stay here again. The photos online were a bit deceiving as well as we thought we were getting a nicer room, but we ended up with a college dorm looking kind of room. We should have been more observant in what we thought we were choosing, so that's on us. We were thinking we were getting a classic room and not an economy, but we digress. This room looked and felt like it hadn't been cleaned at all. There was hair in various places, like on the bed sheets and in the shower and in the corners of the floors in the bathroom. There was grime on some of the surfaces. The buildings are old and the walls are thin, so we heard all the laughing, loud voices and stomping in the halls. Thankfully, we had a sleep sound machine with us and used that, so it drowned out most of the noise so we could sleep. There were bars on the windows, and we thought that was a fire hazard. It was hard to find the building we were in since we were there after dark. The name of the building we were in was not very well lit, so come before sunset if you can help it. We know these places are geared more towards kids and teens, and we are an adult couple, so we will be more careful in the future when choosing a place to stay. The rate was fairly cheap and the staff at the front desk were nice and helpful, but that's the best we can say for this place. Spend a few more dollars and choose a different hotel if you can.

I left my Belkin pink charger and pink cord plugged into the wall. I realized less than 30 minutes from leaving the place and called and left a message with lost and found. It's disappointing it was not "found" but whoever is in charge of it did not go look or let a maid know and it's sad that the maid pocketed it. I'm sure they know who cleaned the room and everything...so very disappointed in the lack of effort to find a left behind item. I gave them my room number and everything. Argh. Frustrated with that. Also, it was not very clear what amenities were included.

We thought we would have a microwave in our room. It would have been very helpful for us to have one. Other than that the stay was wonderful. Enjoyed the wildlife.

It was a very simple, but confortable stay. No tv in the room (haven't paid attention to it when booking but for only 2 nights it was not a issue) There a market just 8 minutes away, which was very convenient. Actually location is awesome for acessing the Park and also the city. Unfortunately we didn't have time to use the property amenities or any meals. Elks and deers were always around, what I loved. We would definitely stay here again!

For the price at Estes Park, this was wonderful!!

If you’re looking to go to Estes Park mainly to be one with nature do a lot of hiking and just enjoy the mountains. This is a good value. They are bare-bones rooms with virtually no amenities however, the grounds are beautiful and there are lots of activities to do there.

The buildings are extremely old, but the bigger issue is how dirty and neglected everything feels. Our room was disgusting. The carpet looked like it had not been properly cleaned in decades, with stains everywhere and even old chewing gum ground into it and permanently fused to the carpet. I wore socks during my entire stay. There was hair on the shower walls and in the sink. One of our windows would not close shut. We reported it several times, but nobody ever came. We had to sleep with it partly open during a cold and windy fall night. There is no fridge or microwave in the rooms, so we had to throw away takeout food several times. The common microwave area in the lobby was dirty and messy enough to take your appetite away. One day, the lobby was filled with huge bags of laundry and trash, leaving barely any space to walk. Workers were loading laundry into a truck, and a bag of sheets even fell onto the road. Everyone acted like this was completely normal. I threw up inside. The café also managed to ruin a simple cheese pizza. It felt like chewing on a rubber sandal. I was not expecting luxury. I expected basic cleanliness, maintenance, and service. I would not recommend this place unless you want to experience something worse than living in a third-world country, and I say that as someone who is from one. Honestly, many resorts there are far cleaner. This place is an abomination of the YMCA brand.

Excellent location with fantastic rooms. I was in room with queen bed and it was awesome. Particularly like the view of mountain. Fast checkin process. No free breakfast and only one star less because they done have fridge and microwave in rooms but they have common microwave outside to use. Wonderful landscaping with elks roaming around. Overall recommended.

Everything was just perfect. Did not have a problem with anything.
