The motel lobby and lounge/bar area is stunning! It’s so welcoming and comfortable but super stylish even down to the staff uniforms! This is one of the few hotels we’ve stayed in where you want to spend time on the property! They have happy hour, delicious food and drinks and live music on Thursday nights… It’s extremely family friendly but still really cool…most hotels it’s one or the other…rarely both! The beds and showers are excellent! So after a long day it’s comfortable and getting a good shower is essential! The menu is delicious…it’s small but what’s on there is delicious!!! If you are here for work, there are plenty of areas to do so with access to wifi and outlets for charging laptops. We can’t say enough good things about this experience…it’s very easy to have a good stay but this makes us all want to come back sooner than later!

It honestly felt like all the money and attention went into making the lobby and common areas look great, while the rooms were neglected. The property has a lot of potential, but the rooms definitely need some TLC to match the rest of the hotel.

I had a late flight in- landed in Phoenix at 9pm. I called High Country Motor Lodge to confirm I would be a late arrival as I was leaving phoenix late. They confirmed my reservation - I asked if they needed any additional information from me and they said no- that they would be ready for me when I arrived. Upon my arrival I was given the excuse of a maintenance issue - I asked if they oversold their hotel. I questioned why I was confirmed when I called if they were oversold. They blamed their lack of communication on me booking through a third party- to which I said I called them directly and confirmed. They promised they would have a manager be in touch with me by Monday - it’s now Thursday. This is poor management on the front office operations side. The agents were kind and professional but definitely could have better leadership in their front office - especially maintaining a hotel when you oversell it. I was walked to little America - little America had wonderful customer service and great amenities - however the only available room was with one bed - I had to share a bed with my travel partner . All of this could have been avoided with proper training, communication, and hospitality. Severely disappointed. Reading other reviews I see this is a common occurrence. I feel with High Country’s background and affiliates - you could do 100% better.

Fabulous property w/ retro cool mountain vibe. They've thought of everything, expertly delivered. Friendly and very helpful staff, large pool, large spa, very cool bar/lobby area, coffee shop, large multi tier outdoor sitting areas with multiple fire pit tables. Great stay.

Perfect location and most adorable hotel with the absolutely most comfortable beds and pillows ever!!

Great place to unwind after traveling all day. My wife and I loved the atmosphere there. General store was nice with lots of options. Friendly and helpful staff. Property was well maintained annd cleaned up and the staff made sure it stayed that way through your stay. Will be back if we’re ever in flagstaff again.

Great atmosphere and price!

The beds were very comfy, the pool was not great and the hot tub was green. Good for one night on your way through town.

The outdoor space was lovely with fire pits, grassy area, cornhole to play, and a space to visit with family and friends. The outdoor bench seating could use an improvement with added cushions. The room and the property were extremely clean. Our main complaint was the extremely overpriced beverages in the bar and coffee shop. A Long Island ice tea was $20. A cup of black coffee was $8, and a vanilla latte was $10.02. For the price of the room (around $200) on an older property, it would have been nice to have more reasonably priced amenities.

8 bucks for a regular coffee? $12 for a beer. ? The room needs updating. Probably won’t be coming back.

Great place for 1 or 2 nights!

Perfectly done. We already planned too come back for two more trips this year. Family friendly. So much fun!

We asked to pay the expedited fee to get a room earlier, we waited for a long time and we went to check back and they said oh sorry we didn’t enter it properly to the system. This happened three times in a row. We got a room right around the time we were supposed to get it. The room was not cleaned, there was hair in the shower, TV didn’t work we asked them to send somebody in never happened, I left food in the fridge and found out the next day all the food went bad. The only nice thing was the lobby bar and the outside fire pit sitting area other than that I would not recommend this hotel.
