First, there is no hotel parking, which was a major issue. I had to find and pay for public parking several blocks away, which was very inconvenient, especially when traveling with family. I also had to pay an additional $20 fee at check-in, but no clear explanation was provided as to what the fee was for. It was frustrating to pay for a hotel stay and then discover that parking was not included and that there were additional unexplained fees. I originally requested two queen beds, but we were given a room with two full-size beds instead. The room was also extremely small and felt cramped. On the positive side, the hotel was generally clean. However, we did have an unpleasant experience with bugs or some type of insect. My husband woke up with a large bump on the side of his face after being bitten during the night, which was very concerning and definitely affected our experience. Overall, the hotel was clean, but the lack of parking, unexpected $20 fee, incorrect bed size, very small room, and possible insect/ bug issue made the stay less enjoyable. Unfortunately, because of these issues, I would not choose to stay here again.

I booked this place based on other “supposed” stellar reviews. However my experience was not. I understand this is a passers through motel, and should only be used as such. I would recommend not staying here unless you absolutely have to and every other place is sold out. Aside from the sheets not being changed from the prior guests, the room smelling like old wet, sour towels, the power going out, and no parking available if you happen to come back a little later from exploring, the only, and I mean only, redeeming thing is the location. So close to downtown.

Very nice it’s old school. Walking distance from downtown. Felt very safe . Zero amenities, parking pretty tight. The water gets to whatever temperature you can stand. It’s got a lot of history, original Route 66.

The only thing I liked was how convenient is was from the Amtrak station. There are better places for the same price nearby. The check-in was atrocious. She didn’t welcome me (even though I said hello) instead she asked if I had a reservation then proceeded to tell me that it was canceled due to lack of payment. For like five minutes she scolded me about not receiving payment even after I told her I paid on Booking.com earlier. Eventually she magically found my reservation, blamed Booking.com but never apologized. She treated us like we were begging for a place to stay. I was also charged on the spot an additional $25 for my 17 year old niece, even though the site stated that everyone under 18 was free. The room was worse than the service. Found a gross long fake nail in our bed.

Very dated property would be very nice if updated. Upside very local to Downtown with a great choice of restaurants and bars all walkable we stopped at a bar and met some really nice locals who made our trip even more special thank you !

Helpful staff and good location

The place was fine for a quick night. I have stayed there before but it seems it has gone down hill. During check in there were additional fees added then were shown on the app. After checking, we had people walk in twice as we were getting settled in. The shower curtains were broke. With all the issues I could have paid similiar price for something better.

We booked this hotel because it’s close to the train station but if I was you spend the extra money to go to residence inn right behind it. The night we got to town they gave our room away but felt bad and gave us a ride to another hotel. Then it was a hassle to get refund. When we came back through town we already had booked two queens to be given two doubles so very disappointed. Very unmaintained hotel for the price.

Just had some issues with my key card, had to go to reception 4 times about it not working
-
Bed was great and location was excellent for downtown and Sunday’s farmers market. Aging air conditioner, very small room.
-
Not the best. I was overcharged and in the process of correcting it. Very loud with a woman screaming at 2 am. TV wouldn’t work. After several calls he did fix it though
-
Expedia said this is all you pay and listed the amount. When I arrived at the hotel they wanted $12, but could not tell me what the money was for. Also, they threaten you $350 if you damage or smoke in the room. I would only stay here again if I had no other choice. Stayed at the Ramada Inn on my return from the Grand Canyon and whole different story. Nice people, good breakfast for just a few dollars more and "no hassles"...

Decent place but very close to main road so it was very loud.

Location Room

It is in a great location super walkable! The parking is very tight and limited. The rooms themselves are small and damp but you defiantly get what you pay for when it’s 60$ a night

The high points were the room was clean and flooring was newer and nice. The bad points were that the motel is very old and run down. Towels and sheets cheap and scratchy, but clean. I was told a pet fee would be $35 and when I arrived they insisted it was $50. No negotiation allowed. Would never go again and not recommend. They need to rebuild or remodel.
