Traveled to this casino/hotel 10 years ago and loved it so I was really looking forward to our getaway. It has gone downhill. Sad really. There is still smoking in the hotel that really takes away from the resort vibe. Luckily we got a smoke free room but the hallways still stink. Rooms are nicer, bed comfy. Only one option for a good meal so we ate at the same restaurant four times over a few days span and was about sick to death of it. We enjoyed visiting Madison and Vevay. If hotel went no smoking then I’d probably return.

Staff was so friendly and helpful. The pool area is great. The room was beautiful and we had a view of the river. Had a great time.

The toilet didn't flush, big red stain on the carpet, the television made a popping noise, and the smoking room smelt discussing. I couldn't sleep because of the smell and the toilet and shower was old and looked dirty.

We enjoyed the coffee shop every morning as it was quick and easy for when we left the premises for the day. The spa day we had was nice. We did a therapeutic massage and the pressure was just right! We enjoyed sitting in the quiet room for a bit. The price was just about right for the amenities and service, and comparable to Lifetime Fitness’s spa services. Overall it was a decent stay for the trip we planned. Location was decent for a day trip to the Red River Gorge, the Ark Encounter, and some State park hikes.

I’m in a women’s friends group 65-82 years old. We stayed in adjoining rooms on the 12th floor. They were nice, but so far away from the elevators. Next time I’ll ask for close to elevators. There was a tornado alert at 12am that told us to go to the hallway. It broadcast for an hour & we were the only ones to come out-possibly only ones on the floor. The TV didn’t work. Called for service & she was there in a few minutes. She knew exactly the problem. It was unplugged! She was very nice & we laughed. Everyone was extremely nice!

In town for the Kentucky Derby and Belterra Casino Resort was only 55 minutes from Churchill Downs. Room had nice view of Ohio River!

Make sure you plan your trip around what you wish to do at this casino. We booked it because there's a dog track there. I thought it'd be awesome to see. And they have several dining options. Although checking in on Monday. Nothing was available. All but one restaurant. Which was More of a diner. None of the other restaurants aren't open till Wednesday through Sunday. As was the dog track. Which on their website said it was open every day.

Casino was a bit outdated. Had some new games. But games were better before actually getting on the boat.

Belterra Casino and Resort was a great place to stop while traveling. The room price is reasonable plus there's entertainment if you like to gamble. The only issue was the pool was not open. After traveling all day it's nice to relax by the pool and unwind in a hot tub.

The room was beautiful the tub was great the bed and bedding was so soft had a great night sleep the only thing is they could update the headboards starting to peel off and there was no robes like the last time we stayed there and there was no trash bags but had a good time anyway

Beds and room was fantastic. Food was very good. Would like more breakfast options. Golf staff was excellent!! Would like more breakfast options and more game options at casino.
