Amazing location and Monica at the front desk is a doll!

See my last review. All the same great things about it are still true. It's a Tapestry Hilton Rez system hotel, and they exceed the standards nicely. Parking free on downtown all-renovated preservation properties with terrific shopping as well. Plenty of on street protected checkin and check out space before parking in the lot or leaving. Restaurant and bar attached are top notch.

Room was a little small.
-
It showed all the history of and older building well maintained Great location
-
If you’re in Florance this is the place to stay. My wife and I loved it. Everyone was super helpful. The food at the restaurant was amazing. We are def going back!

Had dinner at the onsite restaurant that was fabulous Our room was a little small but very comfortable

Wonderful, friendly staff from checkin to checkout made our stay extra enjoyable in this historic hotel. Enjoyed exploring its history. Had a king room which was a bit on the smaller side but perfectly adequate for our stay. When asked the staff even provided a refrigerator for the room. Bed was extremely comfortable, AC was working well on a hot summer day, and the large TV was a nice treat to watch the World Cup games. Bathroom was spacious including the shower, water pressure was on the low side. All in all very pleased with our stay. Small but pretty restored downtown with a great friendly atmosphere—and the ice cream shop just a few stores down gave huge servings. Nothing—would happily stay here again.

We were pleasantly surprised by this historic gem in the small town of Florence, SC. The best part was the in-hotel restaurant called “Victors.” The waiter was so warm and helpful in recommending food and drinks for the whole family. It enhanced our experience greatly!

The style of the building.

Nice old historic hotel with most of the original detailing preserved while they still updated and modernized the rooms. Victor's restaurant is fantastic and they even let us take our half drunk bottle of wine and the two glasses upstairs to our room when we were finished with our delicious dinner. 100% better than staying at a cheap hotel close to 95 on your drive north (or south) from Florida!!

This is a beautiful place. We look forward to staying again

We loved the Hotel Florence! It was our 1st visit to Florence..everyone we met were very nice. Loved the Cru Wine & Tap located in Hotel. Also ate at Victor's in the hotel it was delicious. Walkable to other shops, restaurants & bars.
-
A nice, well-maintained historic hotel. The hotel staff was away from the front desk a lot, and the restaurant staff was a bit unorganized with our reservation. We had to wait 10 minutes past our seating time and there were lots of tables open. Otherwise, it was a great experience with a great bartender and good food!

I did not stay for breakfast
-
Good quality breakfast. Would have liked a few bread, muffin or bagel items More bread items
-
Also, parking can be an issue
-
Nice concept in this old building but we will stay elsewhere next time -
-
Historic building, quiet, well situated with free parking and restaurants and civic sites within easy walking distance, good breakfast but for a fee. Small room. Expensive for the area, no breakfast of any kind provided except for coffee.

Dinner at the restaurant was dismal. My had roasted chicken that was old and over cooked. Her MacnCheese had a funky overly sweet taste. The only thing she liked were the 3 Brussels sprouts. I had all night intestinal distress from a spinach salad with a small piece of salmon. Top this off by the restaurant charging us $10 for two to go coffees from a pot that had been sitting there for hours. We tossed them before we got to the car. There’s a new Hyatt Place less than a block away. Save your $$$ and stay there.

Do most part room was clean and straight. Had dust webs in ceiling corners as well and layers of dust on the exhaust fan in bathroom. Water took forever to heat up causing me to miss a shower my first morning because I couldn’t wait for it to heat up Staff later advised to run both shower and sink together to get hot water quicker
