W Fort Lauderdale

Great location and the steakhouse 954 on property was world class. The hotel had two of its three elevators non functional during my three days there. Miserable to go anywhere. Could be 20 mins between elevators and staff basically did not care and just blew it off. Great fitness facility and pool.

Property definitely maintained well however, if you come for business this place not only does not set up for that, their so called “business room” only has Mac and if you are not familiar or simply don’t know how to use it, you are out of luck. Sadly also wifi inside the hotel definitely needs improvement. if you come to Ft. lauderdale for business this hotel is not for you.

Amazing place. Room was spectacular

We specifically chose the W knowing they offered electric vehicle charging. When we arrived, we were told there would be a wait to have our car plugged in, which we completely understood. We were asked to continue checking in with valet to remind them that we needed the vehicle charged, which we did multiple times. On my third call to follow up, I was told that they had to “prioritize the bosses’ cars first.” I’m still not sure why that was something that needed to be communicated to a guest, but it certainly didn’t make the situation any better. Despite repeatedly following the instructions we were given, we woke up the next morning to our car at 3% with no one able to explain why it had never been charged. Unfortunately, that was only one of several issues. The elevators in our wing were incredibly slow, and it appeared that several were not operating. At times, we waited more than 15 minutes just to get an elevator, making simply coming and going from our room frustrating. We also had no hot water in our room, which eventually required us to switch rooms. That process was drawn out enough that we ended up missing our dinner reservation. We came to Fort Lauderdale excited for a relaxing weekend and chose the W expecting the level of service and experience associated with the brand. Instead, so much of our stay was spent resolving issues.

Pool area was nice. Rooms were basic and linens did not smell fresh. Floor hallways smelled of wet carpet and sweat. The pricing of the rooms are too expensive for the basic accommodations

My stay was absolutely amazing, and I cannot praise the staff enough; the front desk, housekeeping, and valet teams were all exceptional. The only suggestion I have is to improve the privacy of the bathroom, as the current open-concept design is a bit impractical. Installing a barn-style sliding door would be a perfect solution. Overall, a wonderful experience!

It was a wonderful way to celebrate my 39th birthday with my sisters. 10 out of 10. We truly enjoyed our entire weekend!

The only downside to this hotel was the elevators. Our tower had two working elevators and they were constantly busy so we were left waiting 5-10 minutes each time. Sometimes we would stop on every floor each time we used the elevator which was definitely annoying. Other than that, we loved this property.

The pool and crew there were awesome too! and well stocked! If by chance you run out of anything they are more than willing to help every time.And not just one of them either! Raul, Millie and Natasha made our stay for our 41st. Wedding anniversary the best YET!! if you are thinking about staying here please DO IT!!!! Thank you all and can't wait to visit again in the future!

Absolutely amazing service, staff was great and helpful and genuinely kind. Room was great!

One of the elevators was down. Making the other two elevators crowded. We have to lined up just to use the elevators. The pool was crowded and the wait to order food/drinks was long.

Very nice property in a great location. The restaurant was very good as well.

Be careful with hidden fees like extra person in the room. They tried to charged me usd $100 per night because they said the rate is for one person only although my reservation didn’t say that.

Our stay was from Friday to Tuesday. When I booked, I stated it was our anniversary and we were attending a wedding. Friday, our flight got delayed, and we got in later than we were supposed to be. After a long day, I wanted to shower and eat. I go to shower and no hot water. I’m thinking it has to warm up. So we keep the shower ON and go downstairs to order food to go. The restaurant menu was totally different from what was in the room. They stated we have to order those items to our room at the front desk or our room, but the front desk can help. Go to the front desk, and with no hesitation, he tells us to order from our room. We go back upstairs and order. The food was $92 for a salad and a meal with chicken breast plus asparagus. The salad dressing has hair in it. While all of this is taking place, I’m still waiting for the shower. I go check, and it’s STILL COLD. Now I’m upset because the food is nasty and the water is cold, plus we are tired. They tell me they can send maintenance up….who maintenance going in and out the room that late? I ASKED can we switch rooms, it wasn’t offered. He states they only had residential options and lower-level options with no ocean view. We were on the 21st floor and PAID for ocean view. Most people know that the rooms are based on the VIEW and balcony! If we switched, I wouldn’t have gotten my money’s worth. I’m thinking he is going to offer something for the inconvenience while we are staying there. Mind you, there was no note in regar

My only disappointment was that the main pool area was closed during my stay. I really wish I had received a notification about this beforehand, since the pool was one of the main reasons I booked the hotel. Other than that, I had a great experience and would absolutely stay here again!
