Capital Plaza Hotel

Different and interesting to say the least.

The property was under construction so there were few amenities including no WiFi, but the room was great as well as the staff. And judging from the pictures it will be gorgeous so we plan to visit again when it’s finished. The location was perfect for what we were doing while in Frankfort.

Location in Frankfort was convenient to restaurants.

The remodeled room was nice. Comfortable bed. I’m sure once remodeling is complete, the rest of the hotel and amenities will be nice.

Nice place to stay.

The staff was super helpful and the parking was easy to access. During our stay unfortunately something happened with a pipe somewhere and sewage water came up the hallway on the second floor and the smell was atrocious. The hotel staff took action to remedy this fairly quickly when it was reported. We will definitely want to stay at the hotel again, when they renovations are done.

This hotel is under construction so keep that in mind. The areas that we had access to were very clean. They do not do any work on the weekends, so it was extremely quiet. It will be amazing once finished. The bed was very comfortable and Frank who works the front desk is awesome! He is a great ambassador for the hotel, and the city of Frankfort!

Shower in our room did not work properly. Only half the water made it to the shower head and drain was very slow. I think it will be a very nice hotel when renovations are complete. I would not stay there again until its complete.

Expedia should remove this hotel from their site until construction is complete, which is at the end of y2027. I have many pictures that I would like to share as well. I also would like credit added to my account for this horrible visit. It was certainly worth the cost that was charged…at this post not, I’m a very dissatisfied Expedia customer.

Great location Dated…under renovations

Hotel is under major renovations in the lobby, bar and restaurant but the rooms are unaffected and no work is being done that effects sleep. Rendering look like it will be a major upgrade

Although the staff was exceptional and the rooms were clean and comfortable, the hotel is under MAJOR renovations and things were slightly inconvenient. I’m sure it’s going to be wonderful when it’s completed but at the moment the lobby and 1st level are a mess.

Below average. We have stayed there in previous years and the breakfast now is subpar. The facilities felt like they were in shambles. The elevators have workers using them so they were messy. We stayed there in July 2025, and there were doing renovations. Now it’s 2026 and they look like they have only completed 20%.

The hotel was under remodeling construction and kind of a mess. I guess they could not help that - but the lobby was makeshift and hallways leading to elevator were messy. Our room was okay - really needs to be updated - carpet old and worn. Hopefully hotel will be amazing once it is remodeled.

Everything in the room was broke showered didn't work I had to plug my own lights up and the TV was out of date. There was no hot breakfast like there should have been for 150 bucks a night you should get a hot breakfast. They served a crab and go breakfast like a cheap hotel would.

Close, within walking distance to the main strip. Staff friendly & apologetic. Been there 3 times in the past 2 years & it’s still going under renovations, each time we have visit it’s getting worse. It’s rather pricy for such a mess. Not sure we will go back till it’s done.

Hotel was in renovation. But it was not clear that this meant no wifi, no gym, no other services. It was disclosed that renovation would take place but it vastly understated the scope

Paying full price while this hotel is under total reconstruction felt like a scam.

Place was under construction. Areas were dark and creepy. Our room was dingy an old. "Queen beds" were more like twin beds. Staff was nice.
