La Cotte is unbelievably charming - we had the best stay. From the huge bedroom, delicious breakfasts and pastries from the Old Mill!

Without a doubt, the best accommodation. We love coming back and we find that it always exceeds our expectations. Thank you to the La Cotte team for always letting us stay in the cottage we request as it has a special place in our hearts from our wedding. We also love the new cafe The Mill- keep up the great pastries and coffees. We will be back again!

We stayed in a two bed Orchard Cottage no 3 - I knew from the pictures and the reviews it was going to be good but it was absolutely unbelievable .. even the amazing pictures do not do it justice. Although you are surrounded by other cottages it doesnt feel like that... its like you are on your own estate. The cottage itself is impeccably designed and well thought out .. the high ceilings, the beautiful large terrace (we had bbqs both nights and firelighters and charcoal were all provided) the bathrooms are out of this world in terms of functionality and interior design.. beds are very comfy and the views are stunning. The second day we had lunch in the courtyard restaurant - one of the best meals I have had in South Africa. This is definitely my new go to place in Franschhoek.. its just pure perfection and very good value for money. That I had to leave.. you cant fault this place on any level. Though maybe the addition of a pool net to fish out the leaves etc.

All the amenities were there and they had thought about the little extras like charcoal and fire lighters for the braii. We will definitely be coming back for longer next time!

It’s beautiful setting..!! Nothing..!!

Where do you start! Probably one of the most wonderful set-ups and the surroundings are just magical. We would like to move in!!! Thank you for the lovely products in the bathrooms, we love it! Nothing, wish we stayed for longer!

There is not a kitchenette. The cottage was advertised as a self-catering cottage with a kitchenette, however upon arrival, we realised very quickly that we would not be able to even have a simple egg on toast in the morning. the rest of the cottage was lovey with beautiful views, but definitely can not be considered self catering. Most hotel rooms have very similar facilities, was extremely disappointing as arrived with food that we had very little space to store and no way to cook. was really looking forward to the stay here, would have been better with the managed expectations. believe other cottages do have small kitchens with better facilities and utensils and are better equipped for braais and eating at "home"

We stayed in La Cotte 5 years ago before Covid. It has been developed significantly since our last stay. Very well indeed! The owners clearly have an eye for detail. Breakfast was excellent and good value. I whole heartedly recommend La Cotte to anyone. The weather... it rained again. Hopefully 3rd time lucky when we return. Being picky, there wasn't much of a view from the cottage which would have completed everything.

The location is superb-akin to a hidden gem. The Orchard cottage felt like home away from home. The gardens are beautiful. The staff and management are extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast and Lunch offerings, are simple, fresh, tasty and well presented.

Great location, centre of Franschhoek and the wine tram terminal was only a 10 minute walk but also lots of vineyards nearby. Beautiful grounds and views all around. Delicious breakfast. We received outstanding service from all staff. We had some ants in one of the bathrooms. Pool was a little cold and wish it was heated. The weather was hot but extremely windy when we stayed, we would’ve loved to use it more.
