La Residence is located in the Franschhoek Valley on a 30-acre estate filled with vines, fruit trees, flowers, and herbs. A stone’s throw from La Residence, in a tranquil vineyard setting, five Vineyard Suites offer spacious accommodations in a variety of configurations for up to 20 guests, including children of all ages. Complimentary drinks and snacks contribute to a homely feel. Across the way from La Residence is Franschhoek House, an exclusive-use private villa. Six luxurious suites reflect an atmosphere of elegance. This private retreat, embraced by mountains and vineyards, provides an elegant sanctuary ideal for families or a group of friends. For relaxation, the spa treatment room at La Residence offers treatments and massages and guests can also exercise in the fully equipped fitness center or enjoy a dip in the pool. The hotel offers its guests a free shuttle service to Franschhoek village which is home to many award-winning restaurants and wine estates. Airport transfers can be arranged at an additional charge. The property has been beautifully designed and we felt very privileged to have stayed there. Our breakfasts were delicious with plenty of choice…just wonderful. There was not a single thing that we were not happy about.

Flies on Food in villa communal dining room Left letter in reception for posting and receptionist ran after me having opened and read it and asked was I sure I wanted to send a piece of paper that I had enclosed in it!! Unheard of!!

gardens/lake views as well as the outdoor pool facilities. Free breakfast and mini bar are a welcome addition to the price package. Save parking for our car and enough walk ways on the property are also appreciated, as well as the heating/aircon was great to keep the winter chill at bay. nothing comes to mind.

Incredibly beautiful property with the most lovely, friendly, and accommodating staff. Decor and comfort of the room were exceptional. Chefs were extremely accommodating for our allergies and customized everything to our preferences. The most magical stay. Will be returning soon.

Everything but most especially the staff. Old school charm and beautifully appointed rooms… The shuttle into town made everything so convenient and allowing us to chose from a selection of great wines that are included in the stay was a pleasant and welcome surprise!
