Charming with nice atmosphere.

A special mention to the team for going over and above to provide breakfast delivered to our room for an early checkout - this thoughtful gesture was very much appreciated and reflects the level of care shown by the staff. That said, our experience in the room itself was slightly let down by cleanliness. The carpets felt unclean, and both the private balcony area and hot tub could have been cleaned a little more thoroughly. While these weren’t major issues individually, they did impact the overall sense of freshness and comfort. Given the price point being charged, the room did not quite deliver the luxury feel that guests would reasonably expect. With a higher standard of cleaning and attention to detail in these areas, the experience would be significantly elevated and more aligned with its premium positioning.

Location and decoration

Great location, just off the main street. It’s an easy walk to the tram ticket booth to catch the shuttle to the tram station. Breakfast was excellent, and the staff were wonderful None

The property is beautiful, with a stunning garden and a lovely pool area surrounded by roses—perfect for relaxing between activities. Breakfast was excellent and had everything we could want: fresh yogurt, delicious fruits, sweets, and à la carte options. The location is ideal, set on a calm street but still within easy walking distance of restaurants. No car is needed here; getting around by Uber is simple, which makes wine tasting even more enjoyable. A truly charming place with exceptional hospitality. Highly recommended!

Les Chambres was delightful... it offers the personal touch and lots of special, little delights like the Africology hand soap. The rose garden is absolutely sublime... truly exceptional! The heated pool was great. Peter, the host, was so warm, knowledgeable and interesting to talk to. The complimentary bottle of MCC was a treat. It is so well situated.. literally one block from the main street so we could walk to all the shops and restaurants. I would highly recommend Les Chambres.

He took it personally to take care of our stay, and to make it the best! Also the room was butiful and clean, and the bed was one of the best I ever had. It was the most value for money place I ever had. Nothing

Fantastic guest house in the centre of Franschoek. Rooms are magnificent and the staff went the extra mile to make our stay the best ever right down to insisting we stay for breakfast even though this was outside of the set breakfast times. Fantastic and can highly recommend

This is a delightful place to stay and walkable to the downtown area. Peter & Bradley are fabulous hosts and so attentive. The rose gardens were amazing and breakfast was just perfect for us.

Les Chambres is an absolute gem! The beautifully appointed rooms, amazing comfy bed and linen, the gorgeous roses and the friendly staff make this a perfect guesthouse for a romantic getaway. The location is perfect as it is a short walk to wonderful restaurants and cafes. The best was the hosts made us feel so welcome, and Peter in particular looked after us like family! He really went the extra mile, and his warmth, care and humor will be long remembered. We can highly recommend staying here and we hope to return soon to enjoy Les Chambres again...

The heated swimming pool was lovely to use. We had two rooms and they were both very spacious and comfortable. The garden and communal space was also all very lovely and although we only stayed here for one night we would have loved to have stayed for longer. We were given a recommendation for dinner that was perfect for our family (older teenage boys) and the short walk to the main street felt very safe. Independent shops and restaurants within a very short walk. It was all great.

The breakfast was outstanding, served on the lovely patio in the sunshine. Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated. Complimentary teas and a Nespresso coffee machine was quite welcome after a long day. We were able to walk to dinner and choose from a number of delightful restaurants. An added bonus are the simply magnificent rose gardens. Peter and Bradley are outstanding hosts!

It was perfectly situated, just a few mins walk away from the local restaurants and shops. You are in close proximity to the Wine Tram and locals vineyards. It was a gorgeous property and had a very homely feel.

Beautiful boutique guesthouse, central for all attractions with lovely rose gardens and pool; staff friendly, accommodation clean and comfortable and superb breakfast. Nothing :)

Breakfast had great choice.

Staff were amazing. Very friendly and helped with any request we had such as finding us horse riding in a vineyard. Room was great, very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. Nothing.
