Hampton Inn & Suites Fredericksburg South

Room needed minor maintenance repair immediately - shades could not be lowered. Bathroom sink had a foul smell (p-trap needed cleaning) - I held my breath each time when using the sink. I attempted to use the indoor pool, but the water was much too cold. Elevator buttons were pushed out of their setting and into the wall on the second floor so that when checking out, I could not access the elevator and had to carry all of my luggage down the stairs. Staff should have been at the elevator assisting people with luggage knowing (and they did state that they knew when I reported the issue) the problem. After a pleasant stay of 6 days, I left angry due to elevator issues.

Stayed here one night on our drive from Orlando to Boston. It was everything we needed it to be.

There was a little hiccup with the front desk receptionist was teetering on the line of being rude. He mentioned multiple times that I could not use my digital key because I booked using a third party and not directly with Hilton. I was told that the reservation could not be added to the Hilton app in order to use the digital key because I chose to book with a third party and not directly with Hilton. After I walked away and went into our rooms, I walk back down to the desk to purchase a bottle of water that is normally complementary for a honors member. When I stated that I would be contacting the corporate office to inquire why an honors member could not have the digital key added to the app just because they chose to use a third party for this particular booking, his tune changed. He was more than happy to add the reservation to the app so that I could finally use my digital key. He said he didn't realize that I was an honors member. Kind of sad considering he's a representative of the company and chooses to treat people a certain way based off of his thoughts.

This property is conveniently located, always clean and friendly staff. I stay at this hotel every time I am traveling to the area.

The staff is great. Clean place. The room was nice and the bathroom was very clean. Breakfast was good.

The pool was so small I thought it was a jacuzzi. Also, it was green and reeked of chemicals. Super nasty.

Front desk staff was polite and apologetic when we told them of our cumulative issues and offered to refund half of our nights stay rate. Ultimately, we only received about a 3rd of the nights stay back rather than half as promised. Breakfast was great. Keep looking at other hotels as this one needs a face lift!
