This property has potential. It is in the very rundown, ghostown-like area in Gallup. The outside of the building and parking lot leave much to be desired but the room we stayed in was clean and comfortable. The woman who checked us in was very nice.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was okay. AC didn’t stay on but hotel manager brought a free standing fan to us and the low setting felt like it was on the high speed which kept us cold enough throughout the night. TV was small and had a line going through the middle of the screen and the fridge was unplugged so it took a while to get cold.

The husband and wife that run Royal Holiday are super friendly, gave complimentary beverages and snacks at check-in and a good breakfast. Room was clean, spacious and met my needs. Yes, there is train noise and whistle but I did not mind as it remined me of the 7 years I lived in Flagstaff and couldn't go to sleep without hearing the train!

STAY AWAY!! Was traveling from California to Tennessee with a dog and it was late(10P) just needed a place to rest and shower. Got 2 rooms for the night. Room was dingy and seemed a little patched together. Was awakened about 4:30A to BED BUGS on2 pillows. Immediately woke up family in other room and packed up(checking for bugs of course). Expedia would only refund 1 room cause “there were no bugs in other room” that we could see of course.

The room was very clean and neat! The family who owned the motel was very friendly! For the price, I was happy with my stay! The only problem was the ice machine was broken. Other than that, I would stay there again. Good price!

Old building, room had that 1970's look and smell. Refrigerator wasn't plugged in, TV had 1 chanel, no plugs near nightstands for charging. Breakfast was a used pod in the coffee maker, bread, cereal dispenser was almost empty and what was in there looks old. Very small pillows on the bed, my sofa throw pillows are lager and softer. I do not recommend.

The carpet in the room was dirty and torn/worn in places. The fridge did NOT get cold or even cool. The furniture/decor was 'thrift shop" style. The tiles in the bathroom were broken and some looked like they had been "patched" by a child. The tile floor in the bathroom had been painted and was peeling off in several places. The only place you could get ice was in the entry lobby which had to be handed you by the "manager" because the ice machine was behind the counter. When I checked out, I asked where his ice machine was, he showed me it was behind the counter in the lobby. I asked why he had not mentioned it when I checked in, his flippant reply was, "because you didn't ask". I would NOT recommend this motel unless it was the ONLY vacancy in town.

Difficult check-in. Rude front desk staff. Room not clean. Sheets were ripped. Felt muggy and sticky, even with cooler on. Carpet ripped, coming away from floor and wall. Bathroom is gross. Painted over cobwebs in corners. Only there to sleep a couple of hours. Felt itchy because it was so unclean. If it wasn't so late when we got there, I would have left. I WOULD NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN!

The room was fairly clean but smelled like old cigarettes. The a/c never do really get cold cause it’s in a strange location. The pool was trash and permanently closed. The facility was pretty run down. I definitely got what I paid for!!!!!

It was good for the money but the passing trains blowing its horn every 20 or 30 minutes or so was just too much for us other than that the room was clean, linens were fresh. hair dryer was in good working order.
