The Eddy Taproom & Hotel

The staff was exceptional. Loved the direct access to walking/biking trails. Very nice to be within walking distance to the river, museums, parks and downtown shopping.

We really enjoyed our stay! We had a great room for the four of us. We enjoyed the free breakfast and reserved e-bikes. We loved biking along the creek. The taproom and rooftop were cool.

Beautiful place!

This place is excellent. We had so many options for activities every day. Golden is a great little town, but you're also so close to other places like Boulder and Denver. Red Rocks is also a must do, and the Eddy has premier transportation to and from, available. We’ll be back!!

If you get the chance, stay at the Eddy!! From walking in the door, the staff was amazing, helpful, and kind. The little bistro in the main area served delicious food! You can use their electric bikes for free which only require you to book it. The hallways are equipped with an insane coffee station, complete with flavored syrups and different milks to complete the experience. The rooms are stunning, the views are too, and the included breakfast is out of this world. I'm looking forward to going back and staying longer!

Every staff member was friendly and helpful. The food was very good! We enjoyed yoga on the lawn in the morning. We will definitely stay again if we’re in the area.

Great linens and toiletries. Best thing - no in-room coffee maker! They have an amazing coffee maker just as you get off the elevator; totally convenient! It automatically grinds fresh Italian Coffee Beans and for me made great Americanos! Has all the other options and the coffee was great! Complimentary breakfast was also great! I had their premade but excellent omelet and really enjoyed the waffle maker. It was also close to Red Rocks and a mile away from Golden. It’s a Must Stay Again!😎

Close to downtown

My complaints center around Expedia as well as The Eddy. Expedia booked this four night stay at The Eddy for 2900$. I found out later that the Eddy had rooms on two of those nights for about 240$. My mistake. I will never book with Expedia again. My room’s shower was anemic and the floor air conditioning unit extremely loud. After 3 nights we finally went to management and the air conditioner situation improved. The ice machine on the floor never worked. The breakfast was complimentary and adequate. When checking in the management gave us two tokens for a free beer but this turned out to be a five oz pour they select. I have stayed at many high quality hotels with similar pricing, but really felt like we got taken advantage of with this property and Expedia. It won’t happen again.

One thing we didn't realize before booking was that the hotel is dog-friendly. While we appreciate that many travelers enjoy this, I have dog allergies and did notice some dog hair on the area rug. I took allergy medication as a precaution when we arrived, which thankfully prevented any issues. Our only real disappointment involved the bike rentals. We woke our kids up early after a late night, got everyone ready, and hurried downstairs for our reservation, only to find out that rentals are limited to guests ages 16 and older. Our son is 13, so we weren't able to go. The kids were understandably disappointed, and it would have been helpful if the age restriction had been communicated more clearly when we reserved the bikes. We ended up taking a walk on the trail instead, but it wasn't the experience we had planned. Aside from that miscommunication, we had a very enjoyable stay and would definitely consider staying here again, especially for another Red Rocks concert.

Fabulous! Amenities, location! Front desk staff acted somewhat annoyed anytime I had to speak with them. Maybe just the vibe in Colorado, but I expected more. Bar and breakfast staff was great though!
