The Golden Hotel, an Ascend Collection Hotel

This hotel has all you will need for a relaxing and fun stay in the quaint downtown area of Golden. Walking trails, creek, park, shops, lots of coffee shops and restaurants nearby to walk to and explore. Quiet , comfortable room and quality sheets, pillows etc for a good nights sleep. BIG BONUS - Free clean water dispenser machines on each floor and the lobby - so nice to not have to buy bottled water! We will only stay here on return trips to Golden/Denver area - best stay ever!

This is a great hotel, but rooms are a little awkward/outdated and the bathroom faucet leaked the entire time. For the price, I was disappointed in how clean the room was. Beds were clean and fresh, with lots of pillows...but the room clearly hadn't been vacuumed or really cleaned well. Lots of dog hair and debris in the corners of the room. I mentioned it upon checkout and all I got was a "sorry" - it's not like I was looking for a giant discount or something, but a little $$ off would have been nice as my total for three nights was around $1600. Anyone could have walked up and noticed that I wasn't making it up. Beyond that, this was a great location and I wouldn't dissuade anyone from booking...

I loved the view and the room was really nice. Kind of bummed that the restaurant was closed for maintenance or some thing in the morning when I stayed. I would’ve loved to have breakfast. Also when we checked in, we learned that the power was going to be out for a few hours in the morning when we were checking out, which was inconvenient as well. I did not love having to pay for parking in addition to the hotel.

Restaurant ,food and service is excellent. Only one gripe. Parking space Anna 15.00 pet day that we're not used to. Otherwise excellent experience

Exceptional

The hotel itself is lovely. The restaurant is good, the facilities and staff were great and friendly. The room was clean and comfy and the air conditioning worked really well. Upon hotel checkout, we noticed we were overcharged by over $400. This is extremely frustrating. When I tried to discuss with the lady at checkout, she had zero answers for me other than “another guest extended their stay in room 314, and it was accidentally charged to your room, 311.). This is completely unacceptable, however I understand that accidents happen. I was told I had to dispute it with my credit card as she was unable to do anything about it and there wasn’t any available managers. I won’t ever stay there again. Absolutely ridiculous. A 5 star hotel should be able to quickly address these issues in my opinion. I have disputed it with my card, however it may take a week or so to be researched and then reversed.

Clean room. Parking was good. Great drinks!! Hummus was spectacular!!

A great hotel for our family & friends for our daughter's wedding. Suite was wonderful for morning of wedding preparation. Wedding was at North Star gatherings. Tim was amazing, thank you.

Property was nice, clean and in a great location. The Bridgewater grill in the hotel was exquisite The bathroom and the beds. Bathroom was like walking into Motel 6. A/C system was really loud.

The staff was super friendly. Property is a great location. The room was beautiful.

Great location on creek. Perfect start off point for exploring shops and restaurants or hiking along creek trails. Rooms are clean and beds super comfy. Nice drinking water bottle refill stations. Local art.
