Holiday Inn Express & Suites Grand Rapids Airport - South by IHG

I loved the look of the hotel inside and outside. The room was nicely decorated. The only 3 problems that I had were the beds,, pillows, and the bathtub. The bed was hard and the most uncomfortable bed I ever slept in at any hotel. I slept on all 4 pillows and it felt like I slept on 1. It was not the regular hotel pillows. The bathtub was dirty with hair in it, and when I stepped in, it made sounds that made me feel like I was about to fall through. I looked forward to a good night’s sleep since I was there for a funeral. I went back home exhausted 😩

Room was very clean. Elevator and main floor was not clean.

The room was very clean and we were able to check in early. The staff was very helpful, pleasant, and professional. The a/c worked well but I couldn't figure out how to adjust the temperature. Breakfast was good but there was no yogurt for a supply change reason. This hotel is so close to the airport and we were able to take the rental car back without driving on any main roads.

Extremely convenient and clean!!

The staff was incredible. Julianne and Spencer made sure that my check in experience went well and every other staff member that I encountered during my stay was attentive and friendly. My room was spacious, clean and comfortable.

The front desk staff were fantastic. Hotel employee was kind, helpful and knowledgeable. Hotel employee helped me talk through and solve a problem regarding adding an addtional day to my stay. The other front desk desk clerk was friendly.

Coffee was amazing. Our door lock reset every day so we had to go back to the front desk to have our keys reset to get back into our room. A little annoying after a long day when you just want to get into your room and lay down.

Great stay. Very nice and spacious.

Pool They over booked so I was switched to a bigger room. Then I was charged extra for it.

Pleasant

I asked for clean towels, more toilet paper and for our trash to be emptied on the last 3rd morning of a 4 day stay, I had to ask again that evening. Breakfast during the week was okay. On Saturday morning the food was cold.

Exceptional

When we got there , the handicapped room we requested was not available. The staff showed us 3 more rooms and none of them were handicapped accessible. We did finally have a room but it had a tub and my wife cannot get in a tub. The beds were so high we had to get a stool so she could get up in the bed.

Very good

The break fast was quite good. Rooms good size.no no noise. I took long time for prayer i am a pastor and it was good. I was a tourist and the location was ok to Airport Breakfast to be at 600 AM instead of 630 AM MANY GUEST missised it.
