Went to our room and it smelled stale and seemed dingy. We settled in and noticed a weird pinkish/red something was splashed on the walls and had dried running down it. The bathroom had dusty ledges & corners and some weird brown stuff caked on the corner of the bathtub. We tried to use the deadbolt to lock the door and it wouldn’t fully engage. Took a peek at the pool area, another dingy looking space and no towels anywhere (nobody was using the pool at the time). Addressed the issue with the front desk after another long wait (again nobody at the front desk), and they were completely sold out of double rooms. In the end, I called Expedia to see if they could help us cancel our reservation and Raul was amazing in helping us get that handled. Ended up at the Best Western and A MILLION TIMES BETTER!! Smelled clean the minute you walked in the door, bright and airy, a staffed front desk with a super friendly person with a smile. I was told by Expedia I would be fully refunded for our experience and I woke up to another charge on my card from the Hampton Inn - seriously???

This property is close to everything. It was super convenient and the staff were very accommodating. Breakfast could use some work, the food wasn’t really hot, and the options were not as vast as I thought they would be.
