Love staying in older hotels that are updated. We stay here every time we come to Greenville. They have the best coffee shop attached to the hotel

The hotel itself was beautiful and the room was spacious…a second comfy chair with an end table and light would make a nice addition to a room that sleeps four…The primary disappointment was the breakfast…we were there Sunday morning and the coffee cafe where they offer vouchers was apparently being used by the Church, so it was off limits, so all the guests had four baskets to choose from with paper napkins only, no utensils, except the wooden stick to stir your coffee cream at the tea bar, and no tables to sit at…we had to eat in our laps in the comfy, though awkward chairs in the lobby…meanwhile the picture of the beautiful library dining area of the hotel’s restaurant was closed up…I was so looking forward to having breakfast in that room they showed in pictures online…the other disappointment was the front desk staff…they did not explain the sites or tours at all, they simply gave you a map of the area, and wrong information about the hours of operation of the Andrew Johnson’s tour of his family home…the part too, where you had to purchase the tour from them before hiking uphill and upstairs to the Dickson Williams house was unclear…and the tour guide failed to elaborate about all the famous Presidents, Generals, frontiersmen, and writers who had stayed there…I found out more online about its famous history…the town is amazing for History buffs…the staff need to be more forthcoming about the specialness of their area and what their beautiful hotel has to offer!

The staff are incredibly kind, and helpful. Cole, the bartender at Brumley's in the hotel was friendly, and engaging. The hotel itself is beautiful, and it's walking distance to so many Greeneville gems. Beds were comfortable, the room a/c was fantastic!

The room was clean and the beds are nice. There are basically no amenities. No mini fridge , no microwave, and basically no TV.

The rooms were big and comfy. The staff was wonderful. Great experience

A very nice historic hotel. Very clean and a great staff.

Room was very clean and staff very helpful. Parking was convenient. Actually met vice president Mike Pence in the lobby.

Not handicap friendly: toilets too low, no grab bars for the tub/shower, bathroom floor very slippery when wet, toilet paper is hard to reach.

Love this historic building and the coffee shop is great.

Historical buildings that is kept very well. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff.

I like the location, the overall atmosphere, and cleanliness I was given a room that did not match my booking. It was a handicap accessible closet sized room with no refrigerator or microwave. I don't blame the hotel, I blame booking.com.

Shuttle ride to theatre - totally, efficiently handled by the driver - there and back was very quick and effortless on my part. Suited my purpose of my stay.

Convenient parking and friendly, helpful staff.

Could use a few upgrades. Didn’t care for the foam mattress. It wasn’t very comfortable. But the hotel met that century old charm. Restaurant on-site was a nice bonus. I would comeback for a short visit again.
