    The location and cleanliness

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

No mini fridge offered in basic rooms. Daily housekeeping only if you request it. Poor WiFi coverage and poor cellular reception too.

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

Hair dryer didn’t work. Otherwise everything was fine.

This beautiful hotel is an homage to the craftsmanship of the past. It is a welcomed glimpse into the past where beauty and details were as important as function. The lobby is a grand first impression. The rooms have very high ceilings that give a feeling of openness in the rooms. The beds are very comfortable, but a little small for two adults. The rooms have a coffee maker and lots of little extras like makeup remover and a shower cap. We enjoyed our stay back somewhere in time.

Clean and comfortable. Good evening dining on site. Breakfast is a ten dollar voucher for a local Coffee shop that is a tenant in the hotel. Great coffee shop, not so good for hotel breakfast. Hotel permits smoking at the entrance into the property which is very uncomfortable. Perhaps move your smoking area elsewhere in the courtyard.

Beautiful historic hotel. Needs more plug ins.

Great stay, would definitely stay again

This is a wonderful old hotel. Love the look of the lobby and rooms. Our biggest disappointment was breakfast. Only had muffins, bars, juice and coffee. Was expecting something better from such a fine downtown hotel. Within walking distance of many historic sites. Would stay again but would find something better for breakfast.

Lovely atmosphere, comfortable room. We enjoyed a wonderful night here, I wish we could have stayed longer. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent. The only caution is be careful walking on the bathroom floor in socks...it is VERY slippery!

Room was clean, food was top notch, and the history was rich.

Hotel is amazing and so historic. Only issue I encountered was that I was on the 4th floor (highest floor) & heat rises. The room was 72 degrees when I got in the room. It was about 90 degrees outside so it was hot. I set the temperature to 68(lowest cool setting allowed), and from 5pm until after midnight the temperature went up to 75 degrees, even though the AC was pumping. It finally cooled overnight and was at 68 when I woke up. I survived and other than that all was great. Loved the $10 coupon for the coffee shop on the property that I received when I checked in. Nice bonus in the morning.

The Inn was very charming. The rooms as well as the lobby were very clean. The staff were courteous and helpful. The coffee in the lobby was not hot on at least two mornings. The restaurant and lounge was very nice and the food was wonderful; however, we were there over the weekend and it was not open until Tuesday evening. I would also like to see some brochures or some sort of literature available to guests on the Inn itself. For instance, how did it come to be, when was it built, who built it, what significance does it have to the city/county, etc.

The staff was very friendly and this historic hotel located in the downtown area was very nostalgic.

Clean historical hotel in a friendly town. Too few easy routes from interstate 81.
