A really nice hotel inside Gulf State Park. Minor little things that could be better, the dispenser next to bathroom sink should be a nice hand soap, not skin lotion. I was told there was a printer that I could use next to elevator, but that's not on 1st floor where we were....there is one on second floor, but there's no laptop or PC connected....kind of useless really. Food options are ok but not fantastic. Bikes are available, but using them requires more investigation than it should imho.

Property was awesome
-
Parking lot was a far walk from room. Everything else was awesome.

Perfect location on the beach, not super crowded. The pool was very refreshing with tasty treats and a cute little store there.

This was a perfect stay for our family. The room with the twin bunks and the king bed was wonderful and the location of the resort couldn’t have been better. It felt very private and secluded being by the state park, not overly crowded at all, and the beach was just steps away. We chose to venture out for dinner, so I can’t speak to the restaurants, but the Dragonfly was great for lunch and drinks. The pools were fun for a break from the beach and our kids (4 & 7) had the very best time. We will be back!

Amenities awesome. I do wish the chairs were in "adult " pool as opposed to "kid pool" but- Def am looking fwd to my next stay!

The parking is far but it didn’t bother us. When we checked in they didn’t give us much info about the place. Especially breakfast. We were very confused on if breakfast was included or not. The buffet breakfast is expensive. Our balcony neighbor kept smoking weed next to us so we let the staff know and they said they would handle it. Next day he did it again so my husband had to confront him. Nobody wants to smell that while we are relaxing on our balcony. Someone took our do not disturb sign off the door. Have no idea if it was staff. I understand them needing to come in to clean but we liked having it on there.

No issues at all. Great stay.

Clean hotel with every amenity you need to stay and not have to leave , if you prefer .

Excellent location, quiet beach, amazing pool! Parking came with a daily fee and it was a bit of a walk to the hotel, which wasnt horrible but still a bummer in the heat. Beds weren't very comfortable and pillows got as flat as a pancake as soon as you laid on them, but to pros made the cons worth it. We would absolutely stay there again.

We love the location! 3rd time here in 2 years. New pool is great for small kiddos.

This place is amazing! I highly recommend!

The room had bugs in the shower, bureau, and bed. The fire alarm chirped the whole night and we were above the loading dock which had deliveries until 3am…..
-
Room was very nice and clean, the view was fantastic of the beach

Love this place! I love it even more now that there’s a pool for adults! ❤️

Very cool property. Pool is pretty amazing. As a bartender, the bartenders there don’t seem like they like their job much. But overall, we would return.

At first glance the place was very nice. However some of the staff seemed annoyed? The parking long was quite a distance away from the entrance, and maybe I missed it but I didn't realize it until I got there you have to pay for parking which essentially for two days was over $30. I got to my room it looked really nice the bed was one of the lumpiest and most uncomfortable mattresses I've ever slept on, the shower when you were taking a shower it would not drain so you wound up standing in several inches of water, and it was impossible to get the shower to quit dripping after you turned it off.

Great views, great amenities, gorgeous setting.

Our family visited Gulf Shores mainly for Gulf State Park Pier because our boys love to fish and, of course, for the beach. We loved how The Lodge was right inside Gulf State Park. We did not have to pay for entrance onto the pier and the cost for fishing was discounted. We also found it convenient that the pier was within walking distance of the resort. A huge plus. The pool area is well maintained and we enjoyed the pool for those super hot days. The beach is right on The Lodge property. Clean blean and super convenient. They provide towel service. The sunsets were breathtaking. Our room 535 did not have a shower liner for the bathtub, so it was a challenge to keep the water from over soaking the floor, especially with 2 young boys, but we made due. Water pressure was weak. The boys loved the bunk beds. King bed was comfortable. A/C worked amazingly. The Dragonfly quick bite restaurant next to the pools was OK. Some of the staff could be kinder...maybe it was just the specific girl we got to serve us. Overall, we would stay here again, mostly for the convenience of it in vicinity to the pier.

We enjoyed both pools...one for adults only, one for families. Great beach view from hall balconies with seating. Noise from cars if room is on park side.
