Air-conditioning in the bedroom was extremely loud , but had to be run otherwise the room was too hot. We had a hard time sleeping between the noise and uncomfortable bed. The room itself was nice as well as the bathroom as far as updates.

There was construction going on for hotel upgrades, so, during the day you could hear pounding and construction noise.

Every staff person we encountered was so friendly, polite and helpful. Really the saving grace! Front desk staff was lovely, housekeeping obliging and the parking lot attendant was particularly gracious and welcoming. The exterior of the building is beautiful and appears to be a nicely restored historic spot The hotel was very shabby. It was clearly communicated that there was construction ongoing but that does not account for ripped curtains, buckled and thread bare carpeting and bath towels, ac that did not seem to cool, a refrigerator that did not work and stains on walls and surfaces in the bathroom. Don't get me wrong, it was clean, but for the price paid I would have expected a bit more polished appearance. There were also horrible smells in every area of the hotel. Our room smelled like spoiled food, perhaps from something that had been stored in the non-working fridge (that lit up and seemed to work fine until you pulled your drink out of it and found it to be warm).

The room was clean, and mine in pa

The one positive was the large room size, feels like a one bedroom apartment. However, the main room TV was broken, the kitchen sink hot water was producing brown sludge, carpeting was bunched and bubbles in areas, and the parking pass stopped working halfway through our stay. Wanted to love it given the room size, but just too many things falling apart around us.

Room was clean and bad good amenities. Parking on top of stay was a bit excessive but it's mid city so it's understandable. Staff was excellent and very friendly. Breakfast was fine.

The front desk agent that assisted me was fantastic, that level of kindness was very refreshing. Unfortunately I didn’t catch her name, but she made my day!
-
I didnt like that they charged me an additional 100$ on top of what i had already booked. The front desk said thats only because its friday they always do this on the weekend so be aware if your paying for a 300$ room you will get charged an additional 100 because its friday saturday or sunday

My daughter and I stayed at Residence Inn while attending the Cardi B concert (4/3/2026) The room (a loft) was more like a small, cute apartment! We loved it! The staff was super friendly and helpful. The best part, the breakfast! They had an awesome selection of breakfast foods, fresh fruit and beverages. If I’m ever in Hartford again, I would 100% stay here again.

It’s nice

The staff was so friendly! The room was larger and clean, parking was easy and the bed was comfortable. Great location, close to restaurants and a two block walk to the arena for a concert. We were back and in bed so quickly!

Very friendly staff. Felt very comfortable and safe. Very nice clean and spacious room.

Clean big room. Hotel is well located, walking distance everywhere. Building is historical and beautiful, however hotel outside entrance is a bit scary and run down! But once you walk in to the hotel area is nice. Breakfast is ok, process fresh food.

The staff are the highlight of the stay they’re super nice! My room was on the third floor and it smelt like trash on the way to my room from the elevator and it was SO SO SO hot in our room it’s was terribly uncomfortable and the thermostat didn’t work.

Great stay

Nice big well-appointed clean room. Excellent breakfast. TV guide had multiple channels listed that weren't actually available. No place to drop off bags when checking in. Street people were high or drunk and unnerving.
