Location The ac is too close to the bed that makes tou uncomfortable

The remote had to be held a certain way for it to work. When I brought it to the attention of the staff that's what they told me. They said it was scheduled for a remodel. After checking in, we went out for a few hours turning the lights off as we left. When we returned the lights were on. I was told the maids were checking towels. On a room they had just cleaned? What I wrote above

First off my room key didn't work so I had to drag all my bags back to the front from the second floor and they reset them ,I go all the way back and walk in the room and someone else is still occuping the room ,so I call the front and tell them and they put me on hold and then tell me to come back down to get my cards for another room ,but I said I'm not leaving all my stuff in the hallway, twice I had to tell them,then a guy came up with my cards for another room ,he apologized but walked away without offering to help carry my 7 bags with me ,then in the new room the microwave did not work and the shower was broken, and when checking out they didn't even ask how my stay was ,the hotel was very dirty, I was visiting family I will never be back to this hotel.

There is a mildew small that probably stems from wet feet walking on the carpets coming from the pool

Raggity old furniture in the room, peeling old leather sofa, mattresses were old too soft, could not sleep

The staff was excellent however, the building is old and outdated. The humidity inside the building was off the charts! The room smelled musty from the humidity and the carpet was wet for our whole two day stay due to the humidity. Again, staff 5 stars but the building was mid.

Quiet location. Nothing fancy but definitely not run down or anything. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was in a good location with options to do what we wanted. It was a bit humid despite the AC unit but no biggie

Th front desk crew - two younger ladies - tried everything they could to fix issues and were very helpful. Great attitude! Broke air conditioning unit with no solution in 100 degree weather, leaking tub which put water all over the floor, stained carpets and drapery, peeling wallpaper, rusted out hardware, no working bathroom exhaust, non-programmable remotes or working clock, couch in room was leather like cushions that were cracked and worn. It was extremely disappointing. Beware if you are there during a sports tournament - one washer and dryer for the whole complex and two (one broke) slow moving ice machines. We will not be staying at any Holiday Inn express in the near future. The day manager looked confused when we said we were not happy and dying of heat in our room. He begrudgingly offered a one $50 compensation which was ridiculous. Our first EXTREMELY HOT first night should have been refunded. Do better Holiday Inn because this was not it.
