Bed sheets had holes, the comforter was stained, and the mattress was stained. A cockroach got in the bed in the middle of the night, crawled on my wife’s head, and got between 2 pillows. The ice bucket contained a bunch of someone’s hairs or hair extensions. The room was very hot when we entered it. Staff gave us 2 complimentary bottles of water, which was a nice guesture.

Basic accommodations, Great for the price! Easy checkin, clean rooms, comfortable bed, all you need to sleep and go.

For $95/night, I expected a clean, basic room, and that is exactly what I got. My room was dated but spotless, and the folks at the desk were extremely pleasant and polite. The AC worked perfectly, and the TV had a pretty decent selection. A pleasant surprise was that although some folks were horsing around a little loudly, when I went to bed it stopped and stayed quiet. Only real comment I would make is that apparently the lobby is closed, and all business has to be done through the night window. No real problem, but I had other people gathered around me while I was trying to go through my wallet, Overall, it was a good experience, and if I go back to Havelock, I'll likely go back.

The outside of the hotel was a bit unappealing and dated but the room and service were outstanding. The room was clean, well cared for, and excellent value. I definitely will stay there again when in town visiting family.

When we checked in our first room was half renovated. There was no art on the walls and the bed was very thin. A couple days into our stay my foot went through the cracked bathtub. We were moved into another room, which had mold on the shower curtain and the floors turned our feet black. We asked for a complete service and the floors remained dirty. Our room was never cleaned in the 8 days we were there. The key cards to our room stopped working twice locking us out of our room. The staff thankfully helped with that each time, but it was extremely inconvenient that they weren't programmed correctly either time. We will never stay here again.

That said, there were a few maintenance and comfort issues. The ice machine was empty, my refrigerator didn't work, my sink knob was broken, the pillows were very flat, and the blanket was thin. The towels were also very thin, so I ended up buying towels at Walmart and used the pillow and blanket I had brought with me. This isn't a luxury motel and doesn't offer amenities, but if you're looking for an affordable place to stay, it does the job. Considering the price, I can't complain too much. I would stay here again.

The staff were super nice! I stayed for about a week and not really any problems! Only thing is that the floor was dirty but that’s it!

My husband and I stayed here for the weekend with our two children. It was quiet, and pretty clean. You could tell they are still in the process of making improvements to the place. But for the price we paid, it was better than expected. We also really only needed a place to shower and sleep the rest of the time we were on the beach or at the park across the street. It was a nice little weekend getaway.

I have stayed here a couple of times. It is a nice, no frills motel with clean floors, clean bathroom, and friendly and helpful staff.

Everything was wonderful

We chose this hotel for a quick stop while house hunting. It is no frills but the manager was nice and the room was clean. We both slept well because the bed was comfortable and the hot shower was great. We didn't experience any problems during our stay.

The fixtures are dated but they functioned flawlessly. No issues with insects. The A/C cooled nicely and had a constant fan function to block out nighttime noises. There was plenty of parking and no undesirable persons were ever seen lurking about the premises. I look forward to coming back in the future to see how the owners progress. It was a good deal for the money, and very convenient to MCAS Cherry Point's main gate. There are also plenty of nice restaurants nearby. Let's help the owners bring this property up to the next level. They can't do it without our support. Definitely recommend.

Very clean, nice comfortable beds and room. Quiet. The owners are diligent and prompt to accommodate where needed. 25 minutes from New Bern's very high hotel prices, but worth the 70% savings.

Nice clean rooms. Clean sheets no bugs. Bed was comfortable. For the price you can't beat it. I would stay here again. It was nice and quiet.
