Hilliard Motor Lodge

The man at the front desk was friendly and polite. Fast easy check in and allowed us to check in a little early. For starters I paid for the room with one queen bed and got a room with 2 full beds in it..The air conditioning didn't work in our room.. When we had arrived it was hot in there.. We Figured they had just turned the ac on in the room so we weren't worried about it.. we arrived back from the concert after midnight and it was just as hot in the room as it was when we left. We were sunburnt and just ready to be in the AC. So we were disappointed but by that point we were just so tired and we don't like to complain much about things. But it was unruly hot in the room all night

Easy to get to with spacious rooms. Room was not the cleanest- there was hair in the shower and they are very dated.

Liked the price/affordability, the very quick and easy access to the highway and restaurants etc, I really liked the staff, they were very very friendly and helpful and very professional and very courteous and efficient. The guy with the glasses that helped me out Friday evening and Saturday afternoon was extremely helpful and accommodating. Very happy with the stay overall! There were cobwebs on the walls and almost in every corner and there were a couple spiders and a couple flies in the room. There were people that I believe live in the motel or are doing an extended stay, that solicited me around 2:30 in the morning Friday night and wouldn't go away until I said no about three times, but other than all that 10 out of 10 stars. 9 out of 10 Stars if including all that!

For me it is usually location and quietness. This has both for my trips to Baltimore.

Clean

The location was convenient to the highway but so is the modern AVID across the street. The list is long: the stale, damp order; the damp rug and always damp bathroom floor even though we did not take showers; the chair at the desk had couple wheels folded over and the back tipped you too far back; lack of response requesting the chair be replaced over two night stay; a prong broken off in the plug in the lamp next to the bed; the room had fridge (with inch of ice in bottom of freezer), a TV, and microwave with only two plug outlets for the 3 appliances; tv console missing a piece of trim; control on AC broken; and security lock was falling off the door. Do you need more?

Staff was super friendly at this family ran facility. Room was clean and comfortable and easy access to food fuel and freeway One entrance for vehicles

The coffee was excellent in lobby.

The room was outdated but lovely and spacious. That's what I enjoyed the most. Some rooms are outdated and grimy. This was one of them. Felt like visiting the Schitt's Creek motel...

Money worth Little smoke smell

Nothing really. Everything the smell of the room, bugs, busted door.

Large numbers on room. Great room. Great check ✅. Great staff. Great location from highway. Need a light replacement which was fixed up on request.
