The Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa

Did not have clean washcloths for two days. When we called to get some delivered to the room and explain we were on our second day without a washcloth, they told us they were out and to use a hand towel to wash. Omg! We laid a great deal of money to stay here and that is unacceptable.

Check in was nice, we got checked in upon arrival, part we didn’t like during booking on expedia i chatted in to verify there were no other fees, as i had booked originally with omni, they say no, we arrive to find there is infact parking charge of 20$ a day, so before check in i log into expedia to learn the same hotel same stay was 160$ less, they said no problem but the westin will adjust since i pay them, no help from anyone and i brought my concerns up but no one cared. Property was a tad dirty, used toothpicks on side of pool, vomit on chair, sat that way the last 2 days. We had high expectations based on the reviews and price we paid, we simply were dissapointed in both expedia lying to us regarding extra fees and nothing being done about it.

We pay top dollar for this place & they don’t even give you lounge chair or umbrella for the beach & you have to pay to park your own car that is ridiculous never will I go back!!!! Every high end place I’ve stayed those simple things are included & our waiter was amazing but the food was cold during breakfast

I asked for a high floor, a quiet room. I was glad to get the 5th floor the highest level but disappointed to be put in an adjoining room where I could hear every word spoken from my neighbors next door even with my TV on. Especially being solo female traveler, being told it would be an adjoining room upfront would have been nice for safety purposes. This is a non-smoking resort, it even has signs on the balcony doors, there may be an area somewhere on the grounds or in the parking lot area, definitely not on the pool decks/in the rooms/or on the balconies. There was heavy smoking going on the balconies for a couple of my days, I splurged for an oceanfront room for my birthday, I spent a lot of time on the balcony in the later afternoon & evening, eating dinner; it made it very unpleasant to have to breathe in smoke while trying to relax & eat; I did call the concierge & the man at first said they could smoke in the room & on the balcony, I laughed & said I’m pretty sure that’s not true, he then had to ask his manager & reported back there is no smoking, he then asked me which room was smoking as he didn’t want to accuse someone who wasn’t smokin, I said I think that is your

The room requested was with a balcony and chairs. The chairs were wet and the top of the balcony was rotted on the verge of collapse

Great experience. Beautiful beach, 3 pools, friendly non-pushy staff, plenty of pool seating, clean rooms, great fitness center, free water daily, decent food, quality covered self parking. The only negative we noticed is that the hallways in our area were loud because there was laminate floors due to beach/pool access. Walls are a little thin. But, no issue with sleeping at all.

The hotel itself was very nice but the grounds could use some sprucing up. I had to move rooms due to their inability to fix the toilet in my room. They allow dogs in all the areas of the hotel so keep that in mind when booking.

The room we had was definitely not clean there was dust everywhere and the bathroom smelled like mildew. We did not get the Westin robes like the reservation stated we would. The pool area and amenities were great overall.

Very enjoyable stay. Clean nice resort. Beach is beautiful. Staff was super friendly and enjoyed the View 32 bartenders....very nice and fun. Food and drinks were great!

Very nice and directly on the beach.Many restaurants on site and pools are clean. The pillows are too soft. I woke up the a stiff neck every morning or I could not sleep because of my neck hurting.

Three star for cleaning because the fire pit glass was on the floor. The staff was moody in the Carolina breakfast place the lady would would not just listen to our requests.

Once you get to the hotel to do check in there are addtional charges to pay: Resort fee, self parking, and extra fee for 2 adults more in the room. Many of the "premium beds" around the pool are for rent.As so are the chairs and umbrellas in the beach. The restaurant where the breakast is served is quiet caotic between 9 and 10am. With wainting list of 20 min and you have to do check out by 11am.
