Holiday Inn Express & Suites Montpelier by IHG

Just off the highway, clean and comfortable room. Breakfast was good. Two restaurants nearby for dinner, 10 minutes outside of Bryan, Ohio, which has lots of options for food.

There was black mold on the ceiling. Approached front desk manager. He had to reduce our room down to 2 queen beds only. Would not give an extra room (wanted full price), would not refund moldy room, would only offer the following. Your option is take this smaller room or I will cancel your room and you lose your money.

Excellent value

The room was on the third floor and there bugs in the bed and on the floor. The staff did put us in a different room but did not seem alarmed or overly concerned. We asked about some sort of compensation but was dismissed and just assured there no bugs in the new room

Beds were extremely comfortable. Breakfast excellent.

We understand that the property accepts guests with dogs, and we have no issue with that. However, the unit should be thoroughly cleaned before the next guest arrives, especially since we have a toddler who crawls on the floor. Unfortunately, the room was not cleaned properly. There was dog hair throughout the unit, especially on the chair and bedding. The bed also had visible stains, and there was hair from what appeared to be multiple dogs. We requested a room change, but the staff informed us that no other rooms were available. As a result, we had no choice but to stay in the room and change the linens ourselves. In addition, the toilet was not clean. It was slimy, had an unpleasant odor, and smelled like dog urine. We had to clean and sanitize the toilet ourselves before we could use it. Overall, this was very disappointing. We expect rooms to be properly cleaned, sanitized, and inspected before new guests check in. We hope management will improve its housekeeping standards to ensure a better experience for future guests

For a pet friendly hotel, there was no "pet smell" in the hotel and room. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a little disappointing with dry sausage and omelets.

Hotel is easy access off of the Ohio Turnpike. Plenty of parking. Lobby and rooms were clean. Breakfast was very good. Lot of choices. Didn't use any amenities so hard to rate. I would stay again.

Clean and great breakfast

Very clean and well managed. Pool was the perfect temperature staff was friendly aside from movie the front desk lady. Breakfast was great. Nice quiet peaceful one of the best places I've stayed in a while for the price

We need a place to get off the road after a long day . This is a nice easy off 80/90 and the 4 seasons rester
