Hampton Inn & Suites Imperial Beach San Diego

This was just an ok place to stay. The TP was scratchy. The air conditioner was kind of noicey.

Like the days I stayed would do it again.

Great family trip. Didn’t have the Bay room we originally reserved, so they comp parking for the stay. It was nice of them to make it right on their own without us asking. Great, clean place. Great breakfast!

Staff is amazing

The check in process was not smooth. Check in is at 3pm, we arrived at 3:30pm, only to wait until 4:30pm to find out only one of the two rooms were ready. The second room wasn’t ready until 6pm and that was only when the front desk had to contact the assistance general manager to do a check. Facilities were well maintained. The free breakfast was a convenient and cost savings option.

And all great experience! Plenty of restaurants on the same block and walking distance from the hotel.

We were impressed with not only the hotel but with the outstanding staff. From beginning to end, amazing service, shout out to the bartender, Cheryl for extra hospitality and awesome drinks. She made an incredible impression on us. Cheryl deserves a raise! Looking forward to to a return visit.

Now for the main reason for the lack of stars. I liked the hotel, the staff, the room, most everything. But a few low-value items went missing from my room. The management said they were not at fault. Again, it was only 5$ worth of quarters (for the laundry) and my earbuds (not fancy ones). It isn't much, but both these items had specific uses, or I might not have noticed. The buds are only used on planes since I am partially deaf. A couple of neck pillows went missing, but I have no idea whether that was at the hotel.

Room was very nice as it seemed it was recently renovated. Staff was great.
