We had to leave early because they were having plumbing issues no water we couldn’t use the bathroom or shower

Very understaffed in the restaurant. Balcony of our room had cigarette butts. Rugs were filthy in the room. Restaurant staffing should have been better for a weekend crowd but your servers were amazing

The hotel itself is in serious need of maintenance. It feels like the property is falling apart, with outdated facilities and visible wear throughout. The restaurant staff were another major disappointment. The service was unfriendly, slow, and unprofessional, making every meal an unpleasant experience. The only positive part of our stay was the housekeeping staff. They were friendly, worked hard, and kept our room clean despite the condition of the hotel. Overall, I would not stay here again and cannot recommend South Pier Resort until significant improvements are made.

Beautiful ocean front view of the Pier. Restaurant food was excellent.

This was a spontaneous getaway for me and my teenager. Highly recommend an ocean front room. Beach advisory so unable to swim in imperial Beach, but that is not the fault of the hotel. It was still lovely to be able to sit on our balcony and listen to the waves and watch the sunset. Also awesome to have a pool and a hot tub to do that from. The on-site restaurant was delicious and my son declared the waffles the best ones he’s ever had. The staff were so friendly and helpful. And there’s a little basketball court right beside the place and they keep basketballs at the front desk, which was awesome for my basketball loving teen.

This was the second time I have stayed here and the house keeping has been sub-par. I will never stay here again

My favorite SD hotel by the beach !

They told me at front desk parking $30 one night when I left come to check out I saw a different fee that I end up paying almost $60 for one night

Top notch & not too expensive, food from restaurant was surprisingly very good.

Everything was great the only down side is the ocean is polluted and did not feel safe swimming in it. I wish we were warned before we got there. Also I think the resort should have warned us to.

I took videos of the moldy areas and are looking for a way to get my full refund. Really disappointed with how this place is run.

Staff was very friendly, professional. Room was the best, paying a little extra for the beach view was very well worth it. Once you walk in to the room you see nothing but water. We will return for sure

I was told after 10 min of discussion that “oh we just use that picture for all the rooms” At lease the side room wasn’t the left side. Still some views. I didn’t mind the basketball players and people out at midnight beside the property, but some people might. I would have preferred the ocean view. Rooms can get noisy as they are not soundproof
